Hey Everyone,

I hope your Thanksgiving was a good one and if you did great give yourself a pat on the back,   if not then let's talk about it

I took a few days off and it was so great to rest.  Recharge the old batteries.  Thanksgiving I was a very good girl, ate the veggies and FF dip.  Made a very healthy dinner and all was well.  Then for some reason I started to graze with the left overs for the next few days.  I think it was due to me not logging my food (yes I can hear Cathy now, log that food, log that food)  and we all know it adds up when we are not paying attention.

So one holiday down and a couple to go....  Let's help each other get through the holidays and not beat our selves up.

So how did you do?  Anything you can share that helped you?

Take care,
Kathy

Logging for me really helped.  I am also working a new food plan of no sugar and flour, eating every 3 to 4 hours only and calling my food into a friend.  This really helps and helped me this past week with the holiday.  May sound extreme but it works for me.

Denise,

This doesn't sound extreme, sounds like what we did when we first had surgery and lead to us getting to goal.  Great suggestions!!!

Thanks,
Kathy

Hello All ! !

I did ok over the holiday, one bad night but I recorded everything cuz overall it all balances out and gets me back on track.

I am all smiles, happy, and high on life right now.  The sun is shining in Michigan (that won't last long).   I have been walking for thirty minutes on my lunch hours about 3 times a week since I got BOTT (my translation is Back On Track TODAY, since I am taking it ONE day at a time, maybe it should be BOTTT (add the word Together).  Well, today I decided that I really can take a hour for lunch and decided to walk the country block (I work from home and live in the country, no sidewalks). Well, I set my timer on my clock so I would know if I had to turn around before I felt I was halfway around the block  since I really don't know how far around it is, it isn't square it has a funky pie sticking out at one corner, so I took the short part on the back side of the pie thinking it would get me home at the end of my hour.  Well, I guess I don't know how short 2.5 miles is because I walked it and was home in less the 45 minutes.  So then I had to take the car to see how far I had walked (2.5 miles) , then I went around again to see how much farther it is to go all the way out to the pie shaped corner.  That is 3.1 so the next time I will do it all.  I am going to also aim for 5 days, even when the weather is bad it gives me an exhiliration to do the walking thing.

I am geeked, I can do this, I am taking charge of my LIFE ! ! !

Did great until Saturday (our family food day) and you don't even want to know what I ate that day!!!!  But got right back on and came home from the week of being away with only a .4 of a pound gain - still well within my over-goal-weight cushion zone.  So I'm mighty proud of myself!!!!  It never ceases to amaze me that I can actually MAINTAIN.

What helped me was getting right back on track (it was actually the next meal as my fiasco was dinner/dessert) with a very very low calorie liquid day (choc drinks - 80 cals each & 15g protein)  Sunday I increased my calories and had some real food as well as drinks and yesterday was back up to my 1450-1500 calorie maintenance routine.

Hi Kath,

Did you log your food?  Hmmm.  Our Health Tracker is awesome.  It has all the information you'd ever need and more.    LOL.

After all you've done for me since my son's incident with the H1N1 shot, I won't ask you if you logged in your food!!!  LOL

Hugs, Cathy
