THANKSGIVING GAME PLAN!!!

Hi, Everyone! I have been maintaining my weight at 133 pounds and feel pretty good about it, but I still knew I needed to plan what I am going to do for Thanksgiving or I might go off track!

Today I wrote down my plan in my diet journal and chose the important things that I really want to enjoy tomorrow. I feel that gives me more control than going on the fly on Turkey Day!

I am DEFINITELY going to have a serving of the dark turkey meat, but I am not going to have the skin.
I am having a 1/4 cup of stuffing, a serving of jellied cranberry sauce, and 1/2 cup of candied yams.

I'm making my candied yams from scratch, with fresh yam, sugar-free maple syrup and cinnamon, with less than HALF the small marshmallows that I usually pile on top! So I feel I have come far on that one...

We always wait several hours after dinner to have our pie. This year I baked a raspberry pie, and I am going to have a slice with 2 tablespoons of whipped cream.

I am going to sit down and really enjoy every morsel I eat, and the feeling of thankfulness and togetherness with my family.

I honestly think that that ONE meal will hold me through the entire day!! And it doesn't put me over my calorie goal for the day.

What's everyone else doing for the holiday? Happy Thanksgiving, BOTT'ers!
