Kathy, I WANT ONE TOO!!  I'm praying either santa is nice to me or its a housewarming gift, but I've been wanting a Wii as well since it came out. If only for the Wii Fit, Fit Plus and Sports games to kick my BUNS....

I have only ever played the Wii Sports, but I have to say, the Boxing game kills your arms and gets you on your toes. It really matters on how "into it" you want to get. If you dedicate your mind and imagination to it, you actually work hard, work up a sweat, get the heart going, and you honestly can feel it in the morning.

Good luck and I hope you get yours soon!

Thank you so much for this info.  When I was working out like a good girl, boxing was my FAV workout.

Dear Santa, can  you drop one by our house please?

I love my Wii, I like the freedom of Free Step or Free Run,but you get what you put into those programs. I like to do these in the morning while I try to catch up on shows I have recorded on the Tivo. I just bought The Biggest Loser game and I thought it was a decent workout.  My kids enjoy Rythm Boxing, Hula Hoop and Obstacle Course.

I read an article yesterday that Wii does not help you get fit, but I figure every minute my family is moving their body on the Wii is one more minute they are not sitting on their behinds watching TV or on the computer.

I don't think it is meant to provide a hard core workout. My family enjoys it and I enjoy the time we spend together on it.

Jennifer you are so right.  No one thinks this takes the place of a gym or formal workout, but if we can make it fun and get our kids and "US" moving then it's a plus all the way around.

I am having a hard time getting back into my routine and to have something like this at home then I can at least feel I did something good for my health, heart, and spirit.  Don't you feel good about yourself when you are done working out on your WII?

Thanks for the input

Take care,
Kathy
