I'm still here. I don't know why but I always seem to ignore and get away from the things I've been doing that are working. Something in my brain that sabatoges my efforts. It seems like the more things are working the easier I get complacient and before I know it I've got so far away from what was working. Then the easier it is to say "oh well that worked for a while" and fall back into that defeatest attitude.

This group has done more for me than you can know. Even when I was not posting I was still lurking and reading and wanting to jump in but feeling bad that I had pulled away. I know everyone here is dealing with issues of getting on and staying on track, but once the negative self talk starts it's easy to snowball.

Anyway, I'm still here and trying to get restarted. I took my son to the Drs office Tuesday and while I was there I weighed myself and found that even thru all of this, I have not regained any. I am going to go back to what was working before I got sidetracked. Trying to post daily and journaling my foods and exercise.

Thanks to all my friends here on the BOTT board. Even when you think people aren't paying attention, they are.

Hey Buddy,

It is wonderful to see you post.  I too got distracted by a ton of stuff going on with work and when I feel overwhelmed I feel like I'm drowning.  I too allowed other stuff to get in my way of the things that matter most and help me which is this group!!  I'm so very happy you're back.  BOTT isn't the same without each of us. 

I am happpy you're back.  Join in on the daily C&C post so we can all stay on track together.

C&C = BOTT Check in, Cafe & Cardio. It is a post done daily usually by Cathy where we can post our food plans and exercise plans for the day. Hope this helps :)

we don't know each other very well as I haven't been around long, but I just wanted to congratulate you on maintaining even when you weren't monitoring - thats great and shows you are doing things right subconciously.  That is FANTASTIC and where I want to be....

YEAH!!  YEAH!!!  YEAH!!!  You are back   I'm SO GLAD you are back   I just know when you ooze away you are not taking care of yourself and I feel sad

Will watch for your post EVERY DAY.  Forgive yourself for being human.  Humans aren't perfect.  Humans make mistakes BUT humans can correct their mistakes and humans can learn from their mistakes.  And you are doing just that 

GIVE TO YOURSELF,SO YOU WILL HAVE SOMETHING TO GIVE TO OTHERS - we can't pour out of an empty pitcher - if we don't get our needs met, we will become depleted and have nothing left to give to others we love and treasure.

The three "C' necessary for happiness are Commitment, Compassion, and Contribution.  Stay healthy so you can stay happy.
