Final Weigh In of 10 day Plateau Busting Plan

I lost a total of 6.6 lbs doing the plan. I would loved for it to have been a lot more but, I was using it to get back on track of the right way of eating. The end was harder because my hunger diminished over the first few days and I would not always get in all 5-3oz meals. I did not eat anything that was not on the list. I have decided to start again tomorrow for 10 days again because I feel so much better. Why am I not starting today you might ask...well, it is not for that cookie or donut! I am having a small chilli from Wendy's with my DH today at lunch. It is not on the plan but the rest of my day will be as the plan calls for.
Hope everyone has a great day. It is cool and very windy of course here in Iowa.

Hi Jenn,

I tried this years ago and found it to be some what disappointing.  Try the following, get back to journaling to deal with why you are eating in the first place, write and or log all your food, try to move in some way for exercise.  Make it fun, and last but not least, feed your spirit!  Basics baby basics, like protein firs****er, not drinking before meals and on and on....

Good luck to you and we are here to help in any way we can

Take care,
Kathy

Thanks, that is what I am going to do now which is basically the same thing I think. I do go to the gym at least 6x a week for an hr each time. I do hope to see the scales continue to drop.
Thanks for all of the support!!

Awesome job on the exercise.  If you have been doing the same thing for awhile mix it up.  For example if you have been doing mostly walking for cardio try swimming, boxing, biking.  Also if you have been doing weights (which is awesome) try doing it where you take a group of 5 or 6 exercises and do X number of reps for all 6 without stopping.  This works great for burning cals while building muscles.

Your doing great, don't let this speed bump get you down.  And don't get caught in scale hell either  Make sure you are keeping track of your measurements and body fat too.

Take care,
Kathy

Hey Jenn,

what 10 day plan did you use?
did  you just folow your docits post-op diet or did you do something else?

i have been trying to get back on track,
but my monthly cycle which lasts 10 freakin days throws me off every month!

i am just eating a few select foods that i know my body responds well to.
eating a limited diet seems to work for me.
i have lost about 15lbs in the past 2 months,
but of course, would like it to be more!

let me know what you have been doing!
(besides the gym...which is AWESOME!!! you inspire me!!!)

take care,
teresa

Jenn - Often plateau busting plans don't work as well as the first round (of 10 days) as they are designed to do just that - bust a plateau and they are not nutritionally sound andor effective over the long haul.  Congratulations on you 6 pounds + loss.  You're going great!!!!!!

Teresa - I'm sure you are, but do be certain you are consuming enough calories.  It still boggles my mind that I was told I had to eat more to lose more - AND IT WORKED.  Who ever thought we'd ever be told to eat more?????? LOL

Whatever you are doing is working well for you.  Keep up the good work
