How Do You Handle the Hurt....

Hi Happy,
Hope you are doing and feeling well after your surgery. I was going to send you a PM and you just happened to show up today.

Thank you so much for your kind words.  It took me awhile to shake off the incident, but I have distanced myself from her and have had no dealings with her since that time.  I don't ride with her on a daily basis, it was just a moment that I thought the two of could share some time together and bond as sisters.

The overwhelming responses that I have received from members here on the board and my close friends has really helped me deal with my feeling and the emotional hurt that I was going through.  I have risen above it, and a wall has gone up around me.  I have seen her a couple of times since the incident happened because we work for the same company.  She has made no effort to apologize, but then I have never known her to apologize or accept responsibility for anything she has ever said or done.  Thanks again.

I'm so glad you are healing.    My grandmother always said, "There's nothing so bad but what there's a little good in it" and, hopefully, the "little good" for you can be 1. you will protect yourself and 2. you will scale back your expectations that she's going to be a civil human being with you.

My first surgery (thighs) will be Dec 22.  That's 45 days (but who's counting LOL)

Have a peaceful and fun BOTT weekend - you've more than earned it.

I will keep you in my prayers that your healing is swift, though mindful so that you don't put yourself in a position to get hurt again.

My sisters have always treated me like the outsider.  I have often said that of the three of us, I feel like the square peg in a round family.

At 43, I don't put up with it anymore. I applaud you and your willingness to lead a chaos free life!

Thank you so much for your words of support. With family members and especially sisters like we have it makes me wonder if I would fair better with my enemies! LOL

Thanks again.
