Rockstar energy drinks

Further reserarch (Rockstar Energy Shot) proves this tastes worse than the cough syrup-y SF Rockstar. Although, admitedly, knowing it was only 2 mouthfuls of fluid, it was very easy to get down with a few sips of water to chase it. I had the Tropical Fruit Punch flavor, and think next time I'll be going for the berry one. It is not overly sweet, however, as I expected it to be. It is more medicine-y.

Is it wierd that the moment it touched my tongue and I smelled it, I felt a little zip? Maybe it was the thrill of trying something new. We'll see how long it takes to actually kick in, how long it lasts, and if there is a crash. I plan to use the pep to hit the track with some major gusto (since I haven't in 2 days!).

I also must admit that these drinks have been reducing my appetite. Not in a bad way, I just feel no real hunger, physical or mental. I have to keep in mind, however, to replenish any caffeine I drink with water, as it is a diuretic. I've also been pretty 'regular' for that matter, but I never really had issue with that before.

Now I'm excitely waiting the physical and mental buzz I expect from these herbs and vitamins, especially considering the amount of B complex (excellent for neuro-stimulation). Update ya soon!

Hi!

I've seen the rockstar zero carb stuff, but we really shouldn't be having anything carbonated so I've stayed away from it.  I'm 5 years out and I haven't had anything carbonated during that time.  Sometimes it's not always easy to find alternatives, but they're out there!

Best of luck to you!

I generally don't drink carbonated things, I avoid soda and other things fizzy. They tend to make me uncomfortably gassy and bloated. The one thing I have found to be okay is things with the tiny tiny champagn-like bubbles. Rockstar isn't quite that small, but I can definately take my time drinking it. It has some great herbal additives I'm willing to wait for, nevermind that fantastic B complex. Its certainly not for everyone, I was just excited to find a reletively healthy energy product existed.

My surgeon said I can have anything I like within moderation, including carbonated beverages.... just always be carful not to consume high-caloric beverages. Rockstar is only 10 calories per serving.

That's awesome that you found something that you can drink!!  My pouch is still like a 'newbie' pouch so I feel the way you do sometimes when I did try something carbonated, bloated and gassy!  It is pretty impressive the good stuff that they put in there.  We all need a boost!
