Interesting discovery today,  I guess I already knew but didn't acknowledge.  Whenever I see a low cal, wls specific type recipe I copy it and save it.  I'm going to the store today so thought I would look for something new to make.  Guess what -  most of the recipes are for desserts.  Imagine that!!  And there is the problem.

have you ever checked out the HungryGirl website? They have recipes every day that are WLS friendly, and tend to be more food and less dessert. they also have a daily newsletter that offers the highlights of todays ideas, recipes, exercises, and other things.

I found this website that I love. She has recipes for everything such as appetizers, dinners, side, desserts.

DailyMae I found that many have recipes for food that they post.  Jean on the Lapband Board and ShrinkingGuy has some great ones too.  Just hunt around.  I guarantee you they are not desserts.  Take care and happy hunting.

I love the recipes that Shelley from theworldaccordingtoeggface.com shares.  Her stuff is fun, easy to make, and translates well to me (post op) and my DH - (picky eater non op)

I recommend checking her out as well!

Enjoy!
