Hi All:

I am tossing around the idea of going back to Weigh****chers to keep on the straight and narrow, as they say.  My old leader said that she has had several WLS patients join .... I was wondering if anyone on here has.

Thanks!

I have not, but I have also tossed the idea around. I saw a post not long ago in the main board of people who have done WW after surgery for this very reason. Many of them have been successful. you might have more luck posting there, but let us know what you decide!

Thanks for the suggestion -- I just posted the same question on the main board.  It'll be interesting to see what people have to say.

Hi Sionnaingeal,

This is completely off topic but my brain cells are to capacity and this will save me from remembering to send you an e-mail.  Sad, huh??

Anyway, I approved your access today to the Board.  You should have received notification.  If you didn't, please send me an e-mail.

Thanks!!  Cathy

I go to Weigh****chers every week.  I spent so much time (and money!) there during my obese years, that I seem to know all the leaders and staff.  I find it comforting to weigh in there every week.

I lost the last 20 pounds there, and have been a Lifetime member for a long time, so I get to go for free!

I don't follow their food plan (too many carbs, too much food for me) but I do track my eating using their tools and find their behavior modification suggestions very useful.

I think it is free to join this month.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks, Ev, for the response.  I, too, am a lifetime member, and I know what a good program it is.  I think I am going to show up tomorrow and see how it goes.  The leader is my old leader (and friend) from years ago, so it should be fun.

Thanks again.

Hi Vagirl,

Whatever works is great!  Weigh****chers provides some accountability that some wls'ers need.  I haven't gone back to WW since I had surgery but I've talked with many members that have returned with success.  I've also talked to others that it made them feel as though they were returning to their dieting days.

Know within yourself why you are returning (which, for you, is the straight and narrow) and that is all that matters.

Whatever you decide - CONGRATULATIONS to you!!
