Back On Track Together
My Journey!
I can't believe 10 days have since I started to get Back On Track, time really does seem to go by so much faster as the years pass. It just seems like yesterday I weighed 420 pounds but it will be 4 years on December 12th. I thought 10 days ago that this was going to be a terrible struggle but I was determined. I have not waivered at all in the last 10 days this past weekend was not easy but I made it, yesterday was an unbelievable struggle I wanted junk food so bad it was like Krogers was calling my name but I fought it hard all day long and I made it through I went to my 'Big Girl' pics that I have posted on my kitchen cabinets several time through the day they are such an encouragement to me I never want to go back to that girl who had no life at all I want to stay the woman that has a wonderful fulfilling life now an active life. Getting to an active life has not been exactly easy I have been 8 months without being in the hospital that is the longest I have gone since the day I had surgery. You could say I haven't exactly been a poster child for gastric bypass, you see I have had ulcers, a prolapsed bowel, I now struggle with terribly low blood pressure and I am now on my second pacemaker. My friends and family say I should write a book about my journey it has been long and hard but I still would not change a thing because it has been 'My Journey' and I firmly believe everything happens for a reason no matter how tiny it is. I would still encourage other who struggle with their weight to have the surgery because on the other still my life is still so much richer now than I could have ever imagined. I hope everyone who has had gastric bypass or the lap band can come out on the other side of their journey with a wonderful rich life that is simply my wish for all to have a beautiful happy life!
Congratulations Ronnilouvlf on 10 days of successfully being back on track. We have all been where you all and know the struggles of being and staying on track. I have a love affair with Mike & Ike candy. I purposely don't walk down the candy isle because they snatch me up every time. We are here for you, just take one day at a time. Consider writing that book..no two journeys are ever alike, you may inspire someone along the way.
