At some point we all need a new start!!

I truly believe at some point we all need a new start, I know I do. I had just become complacent about everything and needed to start over completely.  So start over I did. I had gained about 10 pounds over the summer and that puts me 30 pounds from my goal. I thought it was ok to just do what I wanted regarding food and exercise and I thought since I had already lost 220 that I would be ok and that's just not the case. That extra 10 pounds has made me so uncomfortable and embarrassed that I just realized it was time to get a handle on things. I've got my head, heart & body back where it should be and I will reach my goal of weighing 160 pounds. Instead of thinking as long as I stay under 190 pounds that all is well and its not ok because once you think 190 is ok then I could easily say as long as I stay under 200 and go up from there. I now know what I need to do and where I need to be. So here I am. I hope everyone has a wonderful fall!!

Welcome   You are so wise to address reality at a 10-pound gain, for you are right - unless we get our thinking straight we will just slowly (or maybe not so slowly) creep right back up.  FOREVER is a new concept to us.  No matter how much our head knows the changes we make after surgery are FOREVER, it takes a while for our emotions to catch up.  Besides, it is unrealistic to think that in the next 100 years we will NEVER get off track.  We are human, humans aren't perfect, we make mistakes.  But you are doing the best think possible, getting back on track before you gain any more.  I'm pround of you

If you're comfortable, please post often and allow us to share your journey.  We've all been there and done that or we wouldn't be here.
