Bright eyed and bushy tailed and Mondays do not mix, Happy!... well, unless there is espresso involved. Then anything's possible! (maybe even time travel)

Had a pretty good weekend, although I didn't get to exercise as much as I wanted. I did run a LOT of errands, though, and maintained my weight, considering. But its back to HARD CORE working this week. I'm ready for the challange. I've challanged myself to get under 170 this week. We'll see if I can do it.

OK Sion - You've pushed your luck just a little bit too far - this way too much like real cooking even if it is to be nuked  LOL

I'm never that bright eyed and bushy tailed - regardless of the day

Love, laugh and be happy, my friend

What are you talkin about! Its just a matter of cutting a bunch of stuff and putting it into the bag.  Nothin too hard about that. (and besides... Mom's doing it, not me! )

It's that cutting a bunch of stuff jazz - when I can train my cats to do it, I'll nuke it - Until then it's the simple life for me

Can you use any zip lock type bag or does it have to be a particular one?

Thanks,

Ruth

They're a particular ZipLock bag called a "Zip n Steam". They come in plastic bagged packages instead of the normal box that a ziplock comes in, the bag is blue. It reminded me of the swiffer wet package.

Wow, Happy, I've just realized how many carbs you are eating! Is that at the advice of your dietitian? I'm only curious because I have 2 levels of carbs... under 20g a day when I am going for ketosis, or under 70g a day normally. I guess most of it comes from your protein drink? I'd love to hear about your/your dietitian's advice on carbs.

I've purposely been pushing carbs as my dr's nutritionist told one of his patients (she's in one of my support groups) that for the brain alone to function as it should we need to eat 135g of carbs. Now I think that was after she was on maintenance and she had the RNY - don't know if that makes a difference or not.  No the protein drink has only 3 carbs.each  Do you think I should cut back on carbs?  That's no problem as long as I don't have to limit my protein.  To get my calories in I have to increase either carbs or protein.

Well I don't know, I mean as long as you're maintaining and in your cushion zone, I don't see why you should change anything at all. I was just surprised. 135g Carbs just for proper brain function? Maybe that's why I'm so abnormal!
