I know I'm the only one...

I know I'm the only one that doesn't have enougth time in the day. I woke up at 6am Thursday morning and will not be able to go to sleep until after 7pm Saturday night. Someone should warn people that when you have kids you cease having a life of your own

With all the time saving devices that our society has come up with you would think there would be time to relax. I am almost thankful that I work overnights. There are no kids, its quiet and I can breath.

Sometimes I think it was easier when I was "bigger" and could use the excuse of "sorry guys I cant do that" or "dads not feeling well right now." What the hell am I talking about!!! I LOVE the fact that because of this miracle surgery I am able to live my life the way I've always wanted to. It used to kill me that I could not be more involved in my kids lives.

I still am no where near the goal I set for myself in the beginning, but I have lost over 195lbs and feel better than I ever thought I could. When I think of all the years I wasted that I can never get back because I allowed myself to be a slave to food, it breaks my heart.

I have had addiction issues in one form or the other since the age of 10. I know I will always have an addictive nature but I also know it does not have to control my life. God has blessed me with a Savior loves me, a family that blesses my heart daily, a church family that embraces me and friends that lift me up and encourage and inspire me (that includes you guys   ).

Thank You!

Good to have you back    I agree, I see my surgery as a miracle - and knowing what I need to do to maintain (and doing it) an equal, if not grater miracle.

Don't regret not doing it sooner (I didn't get my PhD until I was 61 and I didn't have my surgery until I was 73 - but I say a great big THANK YOU every day because I did accomplish those things) but celebrate that you did it when you did.

Please make time for your BOTT family and post often - we miss you.
