Back On Track Together
Back again
Hello everyone – I was very excited to find this group.
I had an RNY in 2003 and went from 264 to 156. Once I got to 156 I just stopped loosing. I had hoped for more but it just didn’t happen.
I’ve gained and have been trying to lose 12 lbs for at least 2 years. I don’t seem to be able to get past the 5 lb loss mark. Now I have 20 lbs to lose. I lost my job in Feb and of course I’ve turned to food for comfort. Old habits are hard to break I guess. Also I have way more time on my hands that ever before.
So, here I am, again. This time I’ve written a plan of action. I’ve done a mental evaluation of the things I liked about being thin vs. fat as I am now. I think that really helped.
I’m on my 2nd day of white carb withdrawal. If I could be healthy living on popcorn I wouldn’t have any problems. I’m tracking my food and water intake. I’m a bit shaky tonight, that popcorn is calling my name. Here’s hoping for success!

Oooohhhh Carb withdrawal is tough. But what an accomplishment you feel when those shakes go away, and suddenly you've dropped 3 lbs because of metabolism boost. That, and your body is thrown into Ketosis, which is awesome! I'm proud of you for making it to day 3. Keep on truckin, you can do this!
