Hello BOTT Family,

The Fall season is quickly approaching...the chill is in the air.  Nothing really big planned for this weekend.  I had thought about checking out some discount stores because I'm still trying to replace my wardrobe.  I am in serious  need of a coat.

I also want to prepare my meal for the week, so when I finish work those are my plans...exciting I know.  Hope everyone has a great BOTT weekend.

Hi Genie and BOTT Family,

Genie, I love how you started your post "BOTT Family" because that's how I feel about our group.  Thanks!

I love the Fall season.  I feel like I become alive during this time.

I've been struggling with staying on track.  Duh, I know why.  I am super stressed and I have lots of projects going on and pulled in different directions.  I haven't even had time to get on BOTT and post.  That says a lot because BOTT is very important to me.  That is a danger sign to me that I need to reassess, pull back somehow and do for myself.

CARDIO:  Walk outside.

FOOD:

Southwestern Egg Beaters with 1 slice turkey bacon
Cottage cheese
1/2 turkey sandwich with 1 slice pepper jack cheese
Cinnamon Toast Pretzels
Tilapia with green beans
Jalapeno Mustard Pretzels
Power Crunch bar

BOTT POWER!!!

Hi Cathy,

Yes, staying on track is hard especially when we're stressed.  We need a "Stress Intervention Team."  At least it sounds good.  I know things will get better for all of us.

I was fighting depression all last week - well, maybe not all, but one day I'd be fine and the next lowe than a gnat's knee at prayer time.  It's the old I'm-Not-Good Enough" monster rearing it's ugly head   I think I'm on my way up and out today.

I'm also learning how my thinking is downright loony tunes - this morning I was 1 lb under my under-goal-weight cushion zone.  Did I panic, did I immediately think I should increase my calories dramatically, did it send me into a deep depression  - of course not,  I figure it is a fluke of some sort and am proceeding with adding my planned 50 calories today (at 1400 on my way to 1500).  Had that been 1 lb OVER my over-goal-weight cushion zone ut wiould have been a red-letter day to celebrate if I didn't think all those negative things. (And tomorrow when I weigh I could easily experience that very situation.)  My goal is to SOMEDAY be able to quit thinking of up as bad and down is good and just accept both (within my cushion zones) as IS and quite normal.  I'm not there yet, but I'm working on it.

Today is going to be an '"off duty" day - stay in my night clothes all day, prepare my meals for next week, read a little, computer a little, snooze a little and just be generally lazy.  It's a rainy, gloomy day - perfect for that sort of a day.  I plan to thoroughly enjoy it.

Here's my pledge - 1400 calories and a lazy day.

By the way, so glad you're back with us   Missed you   Practice what you preach, my friend - take loving care of yourself

Hi family!

I've been floundering for the past few days (I so wish I could say that involved eating fish which is good for me....)  I think we're all getting run over by the stress train, and boy, it just needs to stop so I can get off! (Preparing for a vacation is just insane!)

Today we went to a greek festival with friends - and what would have normally been a day of eating food that was entirely too rich for me, was one of having 3 meatballs and a great time hanging out with our local family.

Cardio - walking around the fest and housework

Food -
b - Skipped (overslept)
s - 3 greek meatballs
l - Yogurt and cereal
s - cheese stick and kay's bbq mix
d - 4oz chicken salad and low carb tortilla
s - click frappe

I think it would be a great idea to 'pair up' people if they're interested - that way if anyone starts slipping, they have someone they can depend on to help them back up onto the path.

see ya'll tomorrow!
