Falling Down, and Getting back up again..

Yesterday was a really bad day for me.  I threw my plan right out the window, and if it wasn't nailed down, I think I ate it.    I even made myself sick at dinner last night, because I was in too much of a hurry to focus and eat mindfully.  (I at least know what I did wrong, beforehand, I would have blamed what I was eating, not how I was doing it!)

As I was driving home from a very late night in the office, and feeling miserable because I had a bad food day - I drove past a sign at a local church.  It's generally known for it's pithy sayings, but yesterday's really hit home.

Failure is an event, not a person.  Just because you have a failure, doesn't mean you ARE a failure.

More than anything, I needed to see that last night.

Thanks for being here folks - you are more support for me than you know!

Oh Kelli - I'm so glad you read and accepted the message on the sign.  It is so true!!!!  You're not a failure at all - you are simply a human being and human beings aren't perfect - a real bother I'll grant you- but true   You simply made a mistake.

Look how much you've grown - you didn't hesitate - you knew exactly what the problem was.  It's real hard to solve a problem if we don't know what it is - so you are on your way to solving your problem right now

You are going to make it, I know you will  - WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER

I wish you a fine BOTT day

That's a pretty great quote. Excellent for those hard days, or even better for those success days. It just proves success is possible. Today is a new day, Kellie! Embrace it, do some extra sit-ups and push-ups in your spare minutes, and remember to smile. The sun is shining, even if not right over you today.

Kellie,
As you are trying to get back up, I am just wobblingly trying to get started BOTT--as of today.  So I am feeling strung-out, wanting my bad carbs in the worst way . . .

To make things worse, I stayed up r-e-a-l-l-y late last night (way into the morn), so I slept in r-e-a-l-l-y late this morn, which only makes me feel super sluggish to begin with!

Hope you are having a much better day today than yest.  I think it's SO true what I've heard--what you do/eat the day AFTER a bad one is more important than the bad one!

Always,
Jo

Hey Kellie

what a great quote to be reminded of.  And the best part is that you got back up again after falling down.  We are in this for the long haul, so I think that is one of the most important lessons we can learn on the way.  Well done

That is a great message.  It is one we should all keep to heart.

My mother used to tell me that the only perfect people were in heaven.  That made me realize that we are humans and we will screw up from time to time.

The good thing is that you get back up and dust yourself off.  We are all here for you!

Take care

P.S.  As Scarlett said,"Tomorrow is another day!"  :)
