Good morning everyone!  Hope you're having a great holiday weekend!

Charles and I are taking it easy today - nothing set in stone - we've been talking about maybe catching a movie, but we're not sure yet.  He's also debating setting up a ceramic smoker like Alton Brown does and smoking a brisket tomorrow - so we may go shopping for the stuff to do that.  Who knows, I love weekends that we just play it by ear!

The food plan (which I don't play by ear!)

B - Hungry Girl Banana Pancakes - Didn't feel like cooking - so I had yogurt and Kay's natural cereal
S - Protein Shake - skipped
C - Chicken Salad on crisp bread
S - Cheese Stick
D - Chicken Sausage and Zucchini Fries
S - Cottage Cheese and Caramel

Have an amazing day!

Kellie --
We play every weekend by ear, so you would love my life.

We plan on going to the grocery store, and then who knows.  Maybe some yard work later in the afternoon.  I live in South Georgia, so it is still pretty hot and humid out here.  Hubby is sick with a sinus infection, so we will probably stick around the area today.  Tomorrow, however, I am hoping he will feel better so we can go to Fernandina Beach for the day.  My daughter and I spent the afternoon walking up and down the beach at St. Simons Island yesterday.  It was a fun way to get in some exercise.

Have a great day!

Good Morning BOTTers

My husband I got up, had a little breakfast, and went out exercising - he's still out riding his bicycle and I'm in from walking 1.61 miles and climbing one flight of stairs.  Don't want to aggravate my sciatica nerve - and I;m happy to say I didn't

This is my first of two full liquid days after my refill.  When I got back in from walking I celebrated/rewarded myself with a pint of Arctic Zone vanilla ice cream (just 136 calories!)  I have found I much prefer the choc peanut butter and choc flavors to the strawberry banana and vanilla - and suprise, suprise the s/b and van are slightly higher in calories (I surely must have died and gone to heaven LOL)

It will be soups and choc protein drinks the rest of the day.  I really don't mind as I enjoy soups (though I don't usually blend them to liquid consistancy) and choc protein drinks.  I'm increasing my calories to 1050 today on the way to 1500.  I'm still in my low cushion zone so feel comfortable moving on with my increases.   May be a little scary to do that when I get in my high cushion zone, but know it's important to do so will be a "brave little buckeroo" and do it.   I want to do this maintenance thing right this time!!!!!

Have a happy, jolly holiday

Does it matter what kind of soup you eat on your plan?

Alicia - I do everything by calories, so the only limitation on soups for me is the calorie content along with high protein (not too important because I get a lot of protein) and low carb (sugars)

Then I either don't blend it, blend it to puree consistancy, or blend it to full liquid consistancy depending on how I'm eating that day.

Happy --
My husband had the lapband surgery in June, but his weight loss has been pretty slow.   The good thing is that even several year out you can get a fill.  I had the RYN five years ago, so I am back to normal now.  Hungry as ever.  Sometimes I think I should have had the lapband.

Alaicia - I had my lapband surgery Dec. 23, 2005.  My first fill was at 6 weeks, after that I had a fill every 4 months until a year ago and since then I've had a fill every 6 months - just had one last Friday.  Don't know about your husband, but that has worked wonderfully well for me.
