During the day, I usually in the kitchen preparing my meal to tske to work since work is lethal with pizza's, donuts and hoagies floating around. So no its not easy, but you can always make good things for yourself like chocolate pudding w/ protein, Edy's Sugar Free Popciles are good, adn Mock Rice Pudding is also an alternative.

Sounds as though one thing that could help you is to eat your dinner (having consumed your planned caloric intake for the day) and turn out the kitchen lights. No lights = no eat.
Remember your enthusiasm (and motivators) as you approached your surgery and immediately after. Something that helps all of us is to go back to the Guidelines Cathy has posted at the beginning of our discussion page and read them over. No just read, but think about what we are reading. We all need a refresher course on the guidelines now and then as we kind of "fall asleep at the switch" and ooze back into the habits that caused us to need/want bariatric surgery in the first place. HUNGER DOES NOT = EMERGENCY ! i can guarantee you, if you don't go into the kitchen and/or eat (no fair taking a stash out of the kitchen after you eat your dinner so you can graze without going into the kitchen LOL) after dinner, you WILL wake up alive the next morning, 99.99% will not be hungry, and 100% be proud of yourself
YOU CAN DO IT - WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT OR WE WOULDN'T BE ON BOTT.
Believe in yourself If you're comfortable, please post often and allow us to share your journey.
Hi Jess,
You're definitely not alone. Our kitchen is placed right in the center of our home. There are very few rooms that you can get to without going through the kitchen. I'm having issues with "emotional eating" and so I don't just reach for the refrigerator. I reach for anything in sight! I haven't tried this but I heard one woman say that she put her scales beside the refrigerator door where she has to see them when she tries to get something out of the refrigerator. She said it was extreme motivation for her to leave the food alone. Maybe that would help you. I haven't tried it but thought I would pass it along to you.
By the way, I'm planning to start the 5 day pouch test this Monday...If anyone else is starting, I'd love to do it together.
Hang in there!
Donna :)
