Carb and Calorie Targets
Kellie - I really do mine all by calories - may not work for everyone, but has really served me well. Of course, I pick low carb/high protein foods. My drs nurse told me not to worry about carbs, but to limit myself to foods with less than 16g sugar per serving. If you go to Livestrong.com/thedailyplate you will be able to set up your weight, height, goal weight and # of pounds you want to lose per week (it will make you be sensible - not one of our strong points when we're wanting to "lose it all yesterday" LOL ) But, in the long run, we lose much faster when we lose slower in the short run Ugh.
Hope this helps some

My targets are:
100 gr proteins +
no - or low sugar
fat and proteins in every meal.
carbs: less that protein in every meal. (net carbs)
I do not drink Skim milk (too many sugars), etc.
i.e.:
with 20 gr pf protein, 10 gr fat, in a meal - no more that 10 gr of net carbs (unless from non starchy vegetables - I do not count these)
That what makes me lose and maintain my weight without being hungry.
And i make sure that i challenge my body - I have days with lower calories - followed by days with higher calories - so my body is always guessing... On maintenance I eat 1200-1800 cal a day. with an average 1400-1600 per day.
