Hi BOTTers,

It is hard to be a parent sometimes.  Zack, my 14 year old, didn't have a good day yesterday for his first day of school.  He is in classes that he doesn't have any of his normal friends and his schedule is opposite from being able to see his friends.  He was fighting back tears as he talked about it.  I talked to him about this being an opportunity to make new friends and get to know other kids.  I wanted to make it better for him because he was so upset.  I hope he has a good day today and feels more positive.

Here's my check-in for today:

CARDIO:  Treadmill

FOOD:

Cottage cheese
Bell pepper strips
Chicken breast with green beans
Cottage cheese
Jalapeno Mustard Pretzels
Tilapia with steamed vegetables
Cinnamon Toast Pretzels
Power Crunch Bar

Have a terrific Thursday as we BOTT.  Believe in BOTT POWER!

It makes no difference what the age of our child - as parents, we always want to soothe their hurts and make them go away.  It is so hard to realize that these are lessons we all must learn and the younger we are when we learn them their easier our life will be in the future - still doesn't make it any easier for any of us though just because our head knows that - our heart still hurts..

Stayed home from work yesterday with leg and knee pain - was walking with a cane.  Am back to work today - better, but not great.  (Using my umbrella as a cane and the wall on short distances)

The scales frowned big time yesterday (from 1.4 pounds to goal Tuesday to 3 pound yesterday) but smiled again today - 1.2 pounds to goal today.  What an up-and-down journey this is!  Accept the up days as part of the process but sure like the down days a whole lot better   No surprise that yesterday my mantra was Hunger DOES NOT = emergency need to eat.  It worked & I feel no hunger at all today!

FOOD:
B - Istone choc pudding - 100 cal
Health Wise choc drink - 80 cal
S - HW choc drink - 80 cal
L - 3 + 1 salad blend - 181 cal
Sea Fare crab meat - 120 cal
Kavli thin crispbread - 60 cal
S - To be decided  (can be up to 113 cal)
D - Bariatrix veg spaghetti bolognese meal - 150 cal
HW taco cheese bites - 120
      green beans - 45 cal

956 cal          76g carb          124g protein

EXERCISE:
Simply getting from point A to point B on an as-needed basis until this leg and knee thing has passed - am being treated by my chiropractor - who, unfortunately will be out of town until Monday.

Hope none of you are having major storms.  Probably going to rain here, but no storms anticipated.

Peace and joy to each of you

Wayne, you're lurking again  Come back here

Good morning.

S - Cheesestick
S- Kay's Natural BBQ Snackmix

I'm struggling with constipation this week. (Gross, I know, I'm sorry!)  I'm trying to up my fiber and drink as much water as possible to get things 'going'.  The scale is moving the wrong way by a pound or two - but I'm not worried too much about it just yet - I'm chalking it up to this issue, not to doing something that I'm not supposed to be.  (Because I'm not!)
  Day by Day.

Oh do I ever know what you mean!!!!  Right now, what the scales say is all about elimination and not about consumption.  Discouraging isn't it?

My experience has been that if it goes too many days (too many is on a sliding scale for me  - sometimes it's only one but it's never more than 3****ep up my caloric intake (or at least close to that) and just have liquids for a day.  That usually wakes up my system and I move (no pun intended LOL) on from there.

Good luck   and, whatever you do, don't get off track.  (Why do we act like if we have a gain, we need to eat more?  Making sense is sure not the minimum daily requirement for being a human being!  )

WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER - YES WE CAN

I need to remember to log my food daily here, I'm usually lurking during the day and don't post because the day isn't over and then when it is over I forget. Sooo sooo I'm making a plan for the day and posting it on my Frig and I'm sticking to it!!!

Pre-Breakfast 6am: coffee and more coffee
Breakfast 9am: 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of pinto bean & some salsa w/pork skins
Snack 12noon: Pam's Protein Chai latte
Snack 130p: 1/2 of Pure protein bar (my schedule has been thrown off today)
Lunch 3p: 1 turkey pattie on an Arnold thin sandwich bread/bun
Dinner 6-7p: Shrimp scampi w/brown rice

I think that is all she wrote... Now if I can just stick with it and not have no sweets tonight it will be good... Evenings is the hardest part for me
