Back On Track Together

 Hi All!!!
I just wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself and say hi! My name is Jess. I had Lap RNY in Allentown, PA on 2/3/04. So much has gone on since then. I was successful in reaching and maintaining my goal for quite some time. I slowly gained some weight back and went from 165 to 189. Now, after having a baby in August 2008, I am stuck at 200 (give or take a few lbs) and am completely frustrated and fed up with myself. I just can't seem to muster up the motivation to eat well and get any kind of exercise in. I eat junk all day and when I get home, after being out of the house all day at work, it is dinner, baby to bed, and mommy to bed!!!

I am hoping that I have landed in the right place to help get me motivated enough to make some small steps in changing. I went out tonight and bought light string cheese, boneless skinless chicken breast, fat free cottage cheese, sugar free pudding, and (although probably not the best) some individual miniature chocolates..sugar free of course. I have found that I can do really well in the Morning up till lunch, but it all goes down hill after that. I crave chocolate, and usually end up giving in to it. I am hoping this miniature sugar free ones will help. Just one should do it.

Well, enough rambling. Good luck to all! Here's to hoping we can do it if we all stick together!!

Hi !   I understand your frustration.  I had Lap RNY surgery Sept 2004.  I got down to 194 from 315 and now I am back up to 218.  I cant seem to lose this weight.  Anyone have any suggestions.   Ann

Welcome Jess and Ann!!!!

Most of us have felt how you are feeling right now. One of the things I say to people looking to get BOT is: think about what motivated you to have the surgery in the first place. I had to go back to that to get myself BOT.

There is great support here. We don't beat each other up , we understand that sometimes you fall off the wagon and need some help getting back on. Cathy posts a daily Cafe and Cardio where we can post what we're eating/exercising for the day. It helps me to stay accountable. Also we have a weekly weigh in if you want to participate.

Once again, welcome to the group!!!

Hello Jess & Ann,
Welcome to BOTT, we're all in the same boat trying to lose those regained unwanted pounds.  Joining us at this site and realizing the need to take control is half the battle.  Please make sure you take the time to READ Cathy Wilson's Back On Track Together Guidelines and Information at the beginning of this thread.  It is lengthy, but a lot of GOOD and IMPORTANT information which I sure you may have forgotten.

Thanks for joining us and we look forward to seeing you around!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I have tried so many times to get back on track, but I have always petered out half way through. I am hoping that this time is different. Today is day one. I went into it gung ho. So far I have done well, but its only 10:10.

My short term goal is to get to 185. I am 203.5 now. From there, i will set other mini goals until I reach my ultimate goal of 165!

Take care everyone and good luck on the journey back!!

Welc ome, Jess   I'm so glad you have chosen to join us   I hope you find this site as helpful as I have.  There's no way I could have gotten back on/stayed on track without their caring, support, understanding and acceptance.  I call the angles in disguise as humans for that is truly what they have been for me.
After a 30 + pound gain by mid-may (had my lapband surgery 3 1/2 yrs ago), this morning when I weighed I have 1.2 pounds to go to be back at my goal weight.

We've all been where you are.  WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER - YES WE CAN

If you feel comfortable, please post often and allow us to share your journey.

Again, WELCOME
