Good morning folks!

Today's a potentially stressy day for me - my mom's back in the hospital having some work done on her heart.  They're not quite sure what's going wrong, or what they'll need to do to fix it - so it's a little bit of pins and needles for me until the phone rings and I get any sort of news.  I'm working at home today - and will be trying to stay busy so I don't think about it - and get the stress munchies (it's one of my triggers, and I know it, so I'm staying aware of it to beat the dang thing!)

Today's plan -
B - Yogurt and Kay's Natural cereal
S - Protein Shake (Actually had the cheese stick and baby carrots)
L - Grilled Chicken
S - Cheese Stick and baby carrots (Actually had 1.5 oz of Kay's Natural Sweet BBQ Snack Mix)
D - 4oz steamed shrimp (Actually had 4oz grilled chicken with a bit of tzaskiki and hummus)
LNS - 100 Cal Pack popcorn

Had a minor slip up today -  but got back on the wagon right away. (After I woke up from the dang carb coma!)  I had a 2 cookies this afternoon, and I know why and what happened.  I hadn't heard from the doctor, and was focused on that, and being mindless about what I was doing and how I should be behaving - and before I knew it, I had eaten them - after telling myself "I'm going to be bad".  I put it in my journal, and made sure I wrote down what triggered it so I can avoid that the next time it rolls around.  If there's one thing I'm proud of this week - realizing WHAT triggered that is it.

  Day by Day.

Ahh...another Monday.

Last night, I decided to set myself on "mini-goals" towards my weight-loss instead of one big one. I think this may help with the mental side of it when the scale frowns.

Cardio ~ stationary bike 20 mins

Cafe ~
B ~ Syntha-6 Chocolate Peanut Butter (yum, tasted like pie)
      Kashi GoLean strawberry w/flax waffle
S ~ 8 grapes w/slice of Gouda
      Champ Nutrition Protein Drink
S ~ Chike! Banana drink
L ~ Healthy Choice Pesto Chicken steamer (minus a lot of the pasta)
S ~ 8 grapes w/1 slice of gouda
D ~ Tuna salad (mayo, egg, relish)
S ~ Isomax Peanut Butter Choc Protein drink

Have a good Monday everyone!!

My angels were sure on duty this weekend - Claudette (not a hurricane but a tropical storm) made landfall about 65 miles east of me.  It was raining hard here this morning when I got up and out to have my blood drawn (fasting draw) for blood work for my surgeon.  I'm to see him for a check up Sept. 4th  Also had a plantar wart frozen off my left foot (which is pretty tender right now)  Tomorrow it will be one year since we lost our son to lung cancer so am taking the day off to kind of "shut down"

The scales smiled this morning - weighed the same as I did yesterday (but weighed an hour earlier) and have 2.2 pounds to go to reach goal.  It would sure be nice if I didn't have any more "ups" until I get there, but the way this last 10 pounds have come off won't be surprised if I do.

Won't be exercising today - tender foot  (I'm NOT going to lick my wounds LOL)

FOOD:
B - Health Wise chocolate drink - 80 cal (after blood drawn)
S - HW choc drink - 80 cal
Kay's Naturals cinnamon toast pretzels - 180 cal
L - Bariatrix cream of tom soup - 80 cal
      Hunt's petite diced tom - 88 cal
B veg spaghetti bolognese meal - 150 cal
S - HW coc drink - 80 cal
D - 2 poached eggs - 140 cal
Kavli crispy crispbread - 50 cal
     Annie's choc ship bunny grahams - 140

1068 cal          104g carb          100g protein

I wish you all peace and joy -

Hi BOTT,
No cardio, and no menu today.  Stomach still not the best so I haven't really planned anything.  I will probably do mostly liquids today.  I ate hard boiled eggs in my Spinach Salad and I think they're doing a job on me.  When I make my Spinach Omelets or anything calling for eggs I use egg beaters.  Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Kelli, so sorry to hear about your Mom. I hope everything works out for her. I will keep you both in my prayers.

Hope its good to see you're smiling face back on the boards. Hope all is well with you!

Hey Happy, I'm glad the hurricane missed you all and the end result was nothing but heavy rain.  Take care of that leg and foot; also glad to see the scales are being kind too you.  We don't want you walking around making a track and a dot!

Love you all

Genie
