Wednesday - BOTT Cafe and Cardio

Hi BOTTers,

As many of you know, I love quotes that are inspirational and motivating.  I've seen this one before and love it.  It means a lot to me because it reiterates my belief that all the answers we need are inside us and not in a bag of chips or cookies.  This journey is not about food....food is the symptom we turn to externally versus knowing that what lies inside of us is what matters.

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

I love starting a day off with quotes! There'sjust something about it. It helps with a good positive attitude to carry throughout the day.

I had a little roadbump (stupid Chex Mix ) last night in my quest to try 3 days straight of getting rid of bad carbs. But, I am still plugging along and not getting off track.

Cardio ~ more mad housecleaning before a teenager descends on my casa

Cafe ~
B ~ Champion Nutrition Protein Shake
S ~ Champion Nutrition Protein Shake
L ~ Egg Drop Soup
S ~ Champion Nutrition Protein Shake
D ~ Homemade Chicken Stir Fry (1 cup total)
S ~ SF Jello Chocolate Pudding

If I start getting a bit of a headache today, I am armed with Tylenol and will take a jaunt to Starbucks to get my liquid happiness in a cup!

Michelle - That wretched Chex Mix - that's one of the foods that attacked me at the wedding dinner Saturday night - Boo Hiss  But, like you, I am back on track now.

Thought for the day:  BEWARE OF LURKING CARBS

Have a fun day

HappyLap ~ I hate it when foods attack me.  I hope my nephew consumes every last little bit of it while he is here. He can stand to gain a few cards here and there. Then the Chex Mix will be forever banned in my house, lol.

Awesome thought of the day! I'm gonna keep that in the forefront of my mind.

Have a great day!

Morning BOTTers and Cathy!

WOO! I beat my old record last night, and jogged 3/4 mile! It doesn't sound like alot, but it is to me, and I felt great afterwars. Almost felt like I could do another lap. Who knows, tonight might be a solid mile.

I don't see alot of difference in my clothes or body yet, but I do feel good. Which is important. Baby steps. Its annoying as H E Double Hockey Sticks, isn't it? Baby steps suck. I like instant gratification, darnit! Does anyone have any secrets to kick that superego instant gratification desire in the rumpus? I could use a tip or two on that....

Cardio - Jog A MILEEEEEE if I can

Food -
B - 2 slices light raisin bread and ICBINB
S - Protein shake
L - Smart ones roasted chicken and mash
S - I don't have anything here... may take a ride for some fresh fruit
D - Chilli con carne!

Hi Sion - Give that ole superego a reward (non-food, of course)  Right now your only acceptable reward is noticable change in clothes & body.  Can feeling good be cause for celebration?  (Now, don't assume I'm good at this - I want the same rewards you do and I want them RIGHT NOW!!!   So the IG monster lives in my head too)  So glad you're back!!!

Haha, its true. Feeling good does... feel... good. Welcome to the department of the redundancy department. Come on in and step inside.  I just wish there was a little something more physical or mental I could see/feel to know I'm making progress. That's always been my downfall, too tho. Once I DID see some sort of progress I'd take a break and end up off the wagon. Not this time! I know I'm waiting to see it, but I'll only serve as motivation to go faster, longer, harder if I can next time because it's finally working the way its supposed to.

Keeping confident. Keeping collected.

Thanks for the welcome back and all the PM's, Happy. It was nice to come back to, knowing I was missed and cared for!!
