Friday Weigh-In

Stayed the same this week. I really am struggling to eat appropriately right now for some reason. As I mentioned in another post I am seeing what I can get by with food wise and the "game" is not working. I need to do some journaling I think and see what is going on with me.
Work has been so draining for one thing. Am reading a book called "Making Work Work for Highly Sensitive People". It has enlightened me a bit on why I do what I do. My b-day is coming up Aug 19 so you would think I would be motivated to reach a goal by then but I just feel drained. Probably need to see Dr. soon for labs too. Usually go in the fall. Babbling this am... hope ya'll have a great day.

ps Anybody ever have their Vit. D levels checked and what was result?

Hi Ioinrc:

Before surgery I was put on 50,000 units of Vit D a week. This has continued since - others I know do the same thing. I'm blond, fair and stay out of the sun - so need the Vit D especially in the winter.

I struggle to eat appropriately also. At home it's too easy to graze and I do unfortunately. Work can be difficult especially the politics in working with people. Your journaling should be helpful - I've done that also - gets the feelings out (can complain about the boss) and no one is harmed especially you. Are you depressed? I've battled that for years.

Good luck -

Ioinrc,

If you're feeling tired all the time, I would definitely get your labs done and not wait until you normally go. Chances are, your Iron might be dropping again and need to have your meds adjusted.

Journaling to me is what keeps me on track most of the time, even if it is something simple like going to my Facebook and updating my status.

I have faith that you'll get back on track, sometimes people fall off a little and need some positive encouragement to help them get back.

I don't want to say I might be on a downward trend FINALLY, but I might actually be. I know I will plateau soon, but am prepared for it in my mind. Since I had my adhesion removal surgery 7 weeks ago, I have dropped 14 lbs. Wow, if only I can do that the next 7 weeks. At that rate, I would reach my goal by my bday in Dec, which is what I'm shooting towards.

Last week ~ 213.4
This week ~ 212.0
Loss ~ 1.40

So yet once again I say  to my scale.

Finally a week to be proud of ...  5 lbs lost!!!
Last week... 248.6
This week... 243.6
Lots of journaling, a daily walk on the treadmill and fish oil added to my diet.  I hope this is the start of a long desired trend.
