Hi BOTTers,

I love the power of our BOTTing!  An update to my commitment to all of you from yesterday.....I worked on my International Coaching Federation application to obtain my advanced credential with them.  I worked on my application and all of the supporting certifications I've obtained, letters of recommendation and time logs until 1:30 this morning.  I am excited to share with you that it is done!!  My husband is taking it to Federal Express to be sent out today.  Thanks for all of your supportive posts.  I've been putting it off but when I commit here with you, it empowered me to get it done.  Thank you to all of you!!  There is strength in numbers and we have the power of BOTT!  BOTT is more than about exercise and food, it is about our lifestyle in general.  My ICF application is proof of that!  Thanks!

Here's my check-in:

CARDIO:  Treadmill

FOOD:

Cottage cheese
Veggie strips
Cottage cheese
1/2 carton Southwestern Egg Beaters

Oh Cathy, I'm so proud of you!!!!!!   I find that the agony I go through when I put off sometime is ever so much worse than the agony I experience actually doing it.  You may have missed this little poem I posted somewhere here earlier so, if you'll excuse me, I'll post again - it made me laugh (at myself).

Procrastination is my sin
It is my pain and sorrow
I think I will correct it
I think I'll start tomorrow

Well, folks, this is a red-letter day.   (1).  The scales were down two days in a row   (2.)  I reached a new low (since mid-May) - by 0.2 of a pound -by, hey, a new low is a new low and (3.) I'm finally down in the 23..... BMI range - 23.9 but it's in the 23.... range.   According to the LiveStrong projection, I won't reach my goal weight by my granddaughter's wedding (August 1), but I will reach it by September 3 which is one day before my 54th wedding anniversary.   While it isn't particularly significant (as I have the rest of what I intend to be a VERY LONG life to reach my goal), it pleases me to see that date.   Time will tell whether the projections are accurate.  Meanwhile, I promise you all  to keep my thinking straight and follow my BOTT food and exercise plan today.  I have cut my calories back by 25 to follow the adjusted need to lose 1 pound a week based on yesterday's lower weight.

So long for now, friends

 YAY, Cathy!!!

Hey fellow BOTTERS!!! Its off to another day of BOTTing and staying on track. After visiting with my PA yesterday, I have a new plan of attack on my weight-loss journey. When she saw I hadn't lost any weight over the past month, she said I needed to see the dietician. Perfect opening for me to tell her that the plan the dietician put me on wasn't working. So....

She has given me a new plan. She is putting me on a diet similiar to that of a lap-bander. She is limiting me to 1000 calories on days that I don't exercise, which is ok with me because I felt like I was eating too much on the other plan.

Cardio ~ Stationary bike ~ 5.1 miles in 20 mins (already completed woot-woot)

Cafe
B ~ Protein Shake
S ~ Protein Shake w/ 7 Kashi Asiago crackers
L ~ Low-carb turkey wrap
S ~ Apple w/Co-Jack Cheese
D ~ Chicken fajitas w/refried beans, cheese and low-carb tortilla

Day Four of my Back on Track Bootcamp.  I need to start posting daily.  It's gone pretty well.  I learned that my big issue is grazing, so the rigid eating plan is addressing that.

Snack:  AchievOne Vanilla Nut
Lunch:  1 Cup chili with 1 oz. cheese

Dinner:  Beef stir fry, 1/2 C. brown rice, 1/2c. blueberries
Snack:  Atkins Day Break bar

1200 calories/85 net carbs/98 protein

Thank you for having this group and this post. Its really going to help me. My food for the day is going to seem quite low but I'm trying to detox from the sugar/sweets slump I've fallen into,  so this is not the norm for me.

Cardio:
Walk - 1.4 miles 25 minutes
Weight training 40 minutes
Elliptical - level 3 - 2 miles - 30 minutes

Food:
Latte - skim milk and splenda
BSN Lean Dessert Protein Shake
Click Protein shake
BSN Lean Dessert Protein Shake
Click Protein Shake - warm
1oz 2% cheddar cheese
2oz White tuna
1/4 cup celery
1 tbs light mayonaise

Total Calories 771 Fat 20g Carbs 50g Protein 98g

Feeling a lot better than I have in weeks - not tired or sluggish. A couple more days of this and then I can start back on my regular menu minus any sugar/sweets!
