I know a crucial part of this is VITAMINS. I lack those and its all because i dont know what vitamin regimen to follow.

I take a multivitamin in the morning
a perscription iron after lunch (i do this and take iron infusions a few times a year)
i also take another multivitamin at night

I know that isnt enough, so what else should i be taking? I sometimes feel clueless. I know what i need to take for the most part, i just dont know about timing them out. I have vitamin C, calcium citrate, folic acid, b-12 all at home.. but when do take them and what not to take together confuses me mess out of me

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this question. My "normal" routine is basically, take a multi in the morning before leaving for work at 7:15. By the time I drop my granddaughter off at day care, get to work and get settled, its about 9:00, at that time I take my B12. Then around 11:00, I take my calcium, at lunch, which is about 1:00, I take yet another multi. I don't do an iron because my PCP says my level for that is normal and when I was taking one, it made me feel sick. (my multi has extra iron, so we are thinking this might be just enough to keep me in the normal range)

The best advice is ALWAYS "Check with your surgeon"  Every surgeon has a personal recommendation for their patients.  I assume if you are taking iron your phsician is requiring you to have frequent blood lab work done.

Having said this, I will share with you what my surgeon has his patients take:  2 Flintstone Complete chewable vitamins a day,B-12 (I use the tablet you put under your tongue and let it dissove) I take one a day and if i'm really really tired I take a second one - this is one thing that is really essential for me to keep up my energy level, and 4 chewable calcium tablets a day.  This will be for the rest of our lives.  Don't take your iron at the same time you take calcium for iron blocks the up-take of calcium - wait a couple of hours between taking them.

But again - It is important to check with your surgeon
