Back On Track Together
Making some progress..
Once my pitty party was over I got up and got back on track. I cut down on those carbs, sweets and fats and started paying attention to what I was eating. I have lost 4 lbs! woohoo! Well on my way to my first mini-goal of 10lbs. Goal is to lose 30 lbs altogether. Thanks for all your support. I need to be reminded everyday. I realize that this is a daily challenge and that I can't ever lose sight or I will be right back where I started from. I tried to forget that I ever weighed 300lbs and in the process was inching my way back to 300lbs. When I was drowning I turned back to obesity help and I got the support and encouragement I needed. Thanks again.
Yeah for you! We want to lose about the same amount and I am anxious to reach that 10 pound goal. It is amazing what small adjustments can do. I think I was eating way to much fresh fruit ... but in South Dakota ya gotta get i while you can :) Have cut back on it and my grazing, having more protein, and forcing myself to eat more veggies. I still don't like them after all these years. We can do this!
WOO-HOO!!!!! That is awesome that you lost 4 lbs just by cutting down on everything. Way to go. Plesase keep us in the loop on your CONTINUED success. I have no doubt you'll hit your 30 lbs.
If you wouldn't mind maybe posting on the cafe and cardio about what you're eating/taking in everyday so others may be able to use it.
CONGRATS on the 4 lbs!! Focus on that if you have an off day or another "pitty party". Ya know how our minds like to play those mean tricks on us.

You need to think a little farther out - it is a lifestyle change FOREVER. Yes, one day at a time is what FOREVER is made of - but when I focus only on one day, it is so easy for me to get back into the "diet mentality" - overweight - go on a diet - loose the weight - OK so now I'm done and I can go back to eating. When we were dieting no one ever bothered to tell us maintenance is FOREVER. So we just went back to eating the old way (and gaining in the old way)
