Pouch testers this week

How are ya'll doing? I haven't stuck precisely with my plan but feel pretty good. Trying to eat protein if I have anything extra. I think shrimp is my "friend" now. Forgot how much protein and how low cal. but seems to me there is something not good about it. Anyone remember?

Also adoring Greek yogurt which I would never have tried if I hadn't come to this site. It seems so rich and yet there is no fat. Gotta try it if you haven't..

Gloria V. I see you had a great loss already. Yay!  Tulasop and Dls0359 how are you? Ya know if it's going rough that's ok. I think it took me 2 or 3 tries to really do pouch test and then I made it three days. But I was happy with the loss and it kinda jumpstarted me. I am down 4 pounds from last Friday. Hope I can keep it off.

And also hi to those that are thinking about starting. You definitely have to be in the right frame of mind to get started.

Hey!

Congrats on the 4 lb weight loss!! You go, Girl!! I haven't started the pouch test yet. I'm one of the people planning to start soon...hopefully, next week. I have to get my act together and get everything ready. It's been an absolutely c-r-a-z-y week and so I haven't even had time to focus on it.

I missed the information about the Greek yogurt but it sounds good.

Stay with your plan...Sounds like you're doing really good!!

Lucy - 4 pounds is good, but why are you being so mean to yourself?  By "almost" being compliant instead of being 100% compliant you are denying yourself even greater losses.  I invite you to be kind, not mean, to yourself   You truly do deserve the very best!!!!

Peace and joy to you

Hey!!
I'm doing ok - day 4 of the 5 day and I  as of yesterday I was down 4 lbs. Although, I am up about 1 lbs this morning, and it's making me afraid to eat! ACK! But, I am going to stay with it - today adding firm proteins back in and going from there. I am going to replace breakfast and probably one snack with a shake from now on. I think it's best for me, and I can really feel that a nice thick shake (made with lots of ice) can satisfy the pouch! Hooray!
Congrats on the 4 lb loss! Awesome!!!

Hello there, I have been lurking around and really am in need of some support.  I am two years out and at  the end of my first year, found myself pregnant.  Of course my whole mindset to eating had to change due to the surgery and the baby needing to gain weight.....my doctor stressed carbs to me because I was not gaining weight.  I gained a total of 11 pounds lost 24 after I had the baby and now have gained ten,,,,,,,,,,, she is nine months old.  I am freaking out because my weight gain is steadily creeping up.  I never reached my goal.......hw was 367 cw 249........... I want to get down to at least 180........... I need to lose about 60 pounds,,,,,,,,, in Feb it was 30............ I will be happy with losing 50 to get to 199...................... what do I do to get started????? I know I have to exercise and I am committing at the present to walk at least, money too funny to join a gym right now........... I am willing to sacrafice "clothes shopping", which has become a passion to do what I have to do to get back on track,,,,,,,,,,,, I feel so lost and alone, but realize now I am at a good place, because now I need to work at this totally to get the best results............ I am open for suggestions.

Thanks
Sheila

Hi Sheila

Sounds like we are in the same boat!  I have an 8 month old, during my pregnancy I gained 25 lbs, lost all of that and now have gained back 15 lbs.  I am so scared of gaining any more, I started the 5 day pouch test today, good luck to you!

Hey gal! I recall the thing about shrimp or any shellfish is that it can be high in cholesterol. So like all - everything in moderation. I love shrimp!!!!

Take Care,

Shrimp, out of all shellfish, is very high in cholesterol.  My mom is a nurse and yelled at me for eating to much of it.  I love shrimp because it is so low in calories and high in protein.  It feels like a guiltless treat:)
