Back On Track Together
YOU CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
YOU CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
When you change your thinking,
You change your beliefs
When you change your beliefs,
You change your expectations
When You change your expectations,
You change your attitude
When you change your attitude,
You change your behavior
When you change your behavior,
You change your performance
When you change your performance,
YOU CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
Poem By: Dr. Walter Doyle Staples

Hi Happy,
You are so RIGHT. I love Judith Beck's books. I have all of them including the CD to listen to in my car and while I walk.
By the way, the book that I'm reading on addictions that I shared about previously is good too. It isn't for everyone so I haven't made a big deal about it but it sure has spoken to me in a big, big way. It is the Alcoholism and Addiction Cure by Chris Prentiss. He has a facility that him and his son run. It seems to come with some controversy because they don't agree with the 12 step programs. Whether it is drugs, alcohol or, in my case, food, it talks about our thinking (like you've shared and I completely agree with) that drives our issues. How it has been for me is that we need to get to the bottom of why we need the feelings, relief, etc. of our substance/food. Rather than turn to food, I now ask myself what is going on for me and where it comes from. When I can determine that, the emotional eating is much easier to deal with plus the bonus of being more in touch with myself.
Thanks for all of your posts. Food is a symptom and not the real deal.
Hugs, Cathy
