Hi All,
Gosh I was happy when I got on the scale this morning and it was down 3 pounds. I know that can change overnight but I haven't seen this # in a while and it was a thrill. Also experimented with making protein ice cream last night. Used half n half (naughty), egg, Splenda, PomRaz protein and frozen strawb. It was delish but made about 3 serv. so need to cut it down some
because as I figured I like it too much.

WOW!! That is awesome! Congratulations, Lucy. I bet you feel wonderful when you saw the 3 lbs loss. That is great news! Just a little caution with Eggface's ice cream ... it can be VERY addicting. oh boy , the protein ice cream is so goooooood......YES , cut back and only make the ice cream when you are craving it..... measure and keep it small. Otherwise , you will go over board and go nuts with the ice cream recipes - like i did. lol

Yep... i really seem to have a problem with moderation if it something I like... guess that's why I had RNY! Thanks for the encouragment.. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to foods like that. One thing is I do not have an ice cream freezer except for a hand crank. So that should deter me and wear off some calories. Last night I made in the blender.
Ice cream that can be made in a blender. Dear Lord do NOT give me the recipe. I think we're all alike in that we have difficulty with portion control even after the surgery. If it's soft and yummy, I'll overeat on it. I never overeat with chicken breast or pot roast, lol. I will avoid making this treat until I am closer to goal and feeling stronger in my resolve! Sounds really good though.
Good for You I just dawned on me that I'v e been doing you a major disservice by focusing on your food (the symptom of the problem) rather than the thinking (the problem). Kind of like give a man a fish and he will eat one meal, teach a man to fish and he will eat many meals. Let me recommend THE BECK DIET SOLUTION - by Judith Beck. it's a great book and I guarantee you if you follow the daily steps, in order, for the six weeks you will find your eating much much much less of a problem.
