Anybody mind if I start this? I am up with the birds this morning as last night there was a thunderstorm that I love to watch so had my windows wide open. Gotta go exercise but need coffee and maybe a few snoozes first.

Fortunately I stayed the same this week.... was up a few yesterday so not happy with myself... but followed a plan (mostly) yesterday and I am back to 171. My food is still a very slippery slope. Have got years of bad habits to break. I really pushed the limits of the surgery to get back to my old medication- food. Now I must come back to center. Grateful that I was able to follow a program a few years prior to surgery and lose about 45 pounds. What I learned doing that will always be an inspiration to me. Basically it was eating like a surgery patient without having surgery... and at 330 pounds I was able to do it. That gives me hope that now AFTER surgery I will do it again.

Well I am babbling this morning... not fully awake yet. Have a wonderful weekend! I may make a trip to see my brother (which is an emotionally charged experience for me) then stop and see some friends for Music in the Park. Lucy

Staying straight at 125 this morning. I have been pretty steady this week. Of course it does help that I work at jenny craig...lol. I've lost 135lbs and I intend to keep it off. Lucy, staying the same is a good thing...It means you haven't gone up. Just focus on that and today is a new day!!Have a wonderful weekend!!

Lucy ... you truly are an inspiration to me each week. Staying the same sounds sooooooo good to me right now. I'm having a horrific time with my weight as I watch it increase yet another 3.4 lbs this week.
Last Week I was : 241.4
This Week            : 244.8

I'll see my surgeon 7/13 and we need to have a heart to heart chat. The tips his nutritionist gave me are doing nothing more than helping me pack on the pounds.

My support group leader asked her PA about me... and suggested were :
getting my thyroid and cortisone levels checked
having my pouch dialation checked
or starting Meridia or Phentermine therapy (which makes me think why did I ever have RNY if that's necessary???)

I've gotten proactive and emailed two other bariatric surgeons in my area for a second and third opinion if necessary. Hopefully this week will shed some light on why the pounds keep packing on... even with journaling and exercising. I'll let you know how things go . Keep up the good work for all of us!!!

Oh Kathy how frustrating. I hope you find some answers soon. I know how watching the scale climb feels and it is so miserable. Feels like a runaway train. Just keep doing the best you can. Sometimes the "storm" breaks when you least expect it.

My stupid scale has had me fluctuating 1-3 lbs all week so I did a little experiment the other day. I was up for about 20 mins, weighed, then took a shower, dried my hair and weighed myself for the second time. I HAD GAINED 2 LBS within a 20 min timespan with no food/drink.  Needless to say, I am buying a new scale this weekend.

Current weight now is 214 down a lb this week, but not holding myself to it until I get the new scale.

Have a good weekend everyone!!!

Hi Everyone

thanks Lucy for starting this.  It is really helping me keep on track with keep being accountable with my weight.  Otherwise I tend to ignore the figures I don't like and then give up altogether.

I've done well this week and am down 2 lbs.  I think it's all the running about like a headless chicken I've been doing at work.  Trouble is I think it's coming off my already skinny legs when I need it off my huge belly LOL.  I'm beginning to look like a popsicle

See you all next Friday if not before
