Wondering how you're doing on your liquids plan?? & Have you lost anymore weight?  I think you were at 7 lbs last I read... I am thinking about doing something like that to get back on track and re-eliminate carbs/sugars......

Things are going well.  I have lost 8 lbs and I have been doing it for 8 days.  Actually, I just weighed at the end of the day, so perhaps I am down even more.  I am finding that I am not hungry and I have to force myself to drink my last protein shake at night.  I do crave the food that other people are eating, but the protein is really keeping the hunger away.  I can tell when I need to drink a protein shake though because I get weak, shaky, or just really irritable.  I am taking in around 90 grams of protein a day and around 900 calories.  The head hunger is still there and very strong.  I feel like any minute I could just gorge myself with chips and salsa or grab a hamburger and fries.  I am excited to see how little solid food it will take to fill me.  My pouch has definitely shrunk.  I am dreading the long haul on this, but as long as I take one day at a time I think things will be ok.  I need to keep going until I lose about 60lbs at least.  My plan is to follow it for 3 months.  Just one day at a time!

Dragonfly - off course you could pig out - that choice is always going to be with us.  But reality is YOU DID NOT pig out even though you were tempted (clearly, you didn't REALLY want to because your focus now is on achieving your goal) and you don't have to stay exclusively on liquids for three months.  You have the choice of gradually returning to solid food - don't scare yourself  your dedication will enable you to make wise solid-food choices when the time comes you are ready to do that.

I'm so proud of you   Keep up the good work and thank you for keeping us up-to-date on your progress

Have a fine BOTT day

Dragonfly ~ hang in there. You GOT this (as one of my friends would say). I applaud your dedication to sticking to the liquid diet. Please keep us up-to-date on your progress. You may just inspire a couple of us to do the same thing (me, for instance).

How do you battle the head hunger? Do you start to do something else to occupy yourself?

Dragonfly,

I too think it's awesome that you are sticking to the liquid diet.  I had been battling on to do the same thing and came to the board to read what other people were doing and there you were!  If I have fallen into a horrible snacking habit.  They are baked chips, they can't hurt, right?!?!  Wrong!  And then my other vice......soft drink!  So I think I need to detox myself and just go cold turkey!  I'm going to pick a date as well!  Keep up the good work and you are inspiring people and probably didn't realize it!
