Accountability for the Woman in the Mirror...

Thank you BOTT for yesterday.  I was in a terrible slump and a state of depression yesterday.  My self-esteem was in the toilet and I was definitely feeling sorry for myself.

Last night or should I say this morning around 1:30am EST I found myself reading several of the members blogs, and I also went back and read the guidelines for getting back on track.  When I got home before going to bed, I said my grateful prayers and stood in the mirror and gave myself a good talking too.  Sorry never gets you anywhere, its what you do with sorry that makes a difference.

WLS is a tool and knowing that even now my pouch lets me know when I eat something it doesn't like it reacts with a good old fashion DUMP!  When I weighed in this morning the scale read 178lbs. with a BMI of 30.9 which make me clinically obese, and up 12lbs from my lowest weight lost.

Accountability for the Woman in the Mirror begins here with journaling which I use to be so faithful in doing and exercising if its nothing but 15 mins the push and the drive rest will come back.  Again thank you for being here.

Welcome back Real Genie - think we all have pitty parties from time to time and when we do we are so likely to serve refresments LOL

You might be interested in know that at the obesity conference I attended they were putting a lot of emphasis on "spontaneous exercise" - that is those things like take the stairs instead of the elevator/escalator, park in the far corner of the parking lot, go the to bathroom farthest from your office, etc - because 1/10 of a mile ten times burns the same calories and gives the body the same benefit as one mile all at once - the difference is the vigor with which you walk that mile.  It is not that structured exercise isn't good for us, but they have found that some people will not do structured exercise (usually using time as the reason/excuse) but they will do spontaneous exercise.

While you are holding the Woman In The Mirror accountable - be equally diligent about celebrating her successes (however small they might seem - they are not small at all) and treasuring her for who she is - who she is RIGHT NOW in this very second

Have a happy BOTT day, my friend

Thanks Cindy, I bought my workout clothes and sneaks to work.  Believe it or not we have a gym here on the premises. I will be utilizing it tonight.

Hi Genie!

I love what Happylapbander said, and I totally agree.  Yes, we should hold ourselves accountable, but more importantly, we should count and celebrate our successes even more!  Positive thoughts are being sent to you and to everyone else who needs them
.

Loving me...every day...for the rest of my life!
