Day 5 of liquid diet and not hungry at all!

Quick intro for those who haven't read my previous posts.  I regained 80 of the 110 lbs I lost from my RNY, which was 7 years ago.  I wanted a revision, but don't need it as my pouch is still intact.  So, I am following a liquid diet plan at the suggestion of my surgeon until the regain is off.

Today was my 5th day on liquids (3 protein shakes and 1 cup of cottage cheese).  My hunger is non existant and I can feel my pouch getting smaller each day.  In the beginning, I could eat a cup of cottage cheese at one sitting and drink all 3 protein shakes (12 oz.) with ease.  Last night and again today I could not the entire cup of cottage cheese.  I am not feeling true hunger and only drinking all 3 shakes because I know I have to meet the minimum protein requirement.  I do like to have a cup of coffee in the morning and a cup of decaf at night, plus the occasional serving of sugar free jello or a sugar free popsicle.  It's really only for the taste and the idea of having something though.  I really am amazed that I feel no physical hunger.  I do get weak and kind of shaky if I wait to long in the morning to have protein.  I need to have it first thing before the coffee, but I get busy and forget.  It isn't bothering me at all to cook for my family and I sit with them and have my shake or cottage cheese.  So far, so good!

I also weighed myself yesterday just to see how things are going.  I don't have a scale at home, but there's one at my gym.  Yesterday, which was day 4 of liquids, I had lost 7 lbs.  Long way to go, but I'm on the right track.

Congratulations!  You are doing great, and making some awesome changes that are already paying off.  Keep up the great work!  :)

PS  Is it any cooler out there?  I was out in the Lawton area last week and it was so hot that my cell phone charger melted in the car after only 15 minutes!  Whew!

That is so awesome to have the "hunger" removed. You are doing great and the weight loss has to feel so good. It fuels the motivation. What kind of protein do you use? The tool still works if we work it :) Keep up the good work. You are amazing and inspiring!

Angela,

Congratulations......you are doing so well.....how exciting for you!!

I just joined this group recently....finally read the information files.....and read that we should have over 100 gm protein per day......

Just curious.....are you getting that much?

And......just curious......do you plan on staying on the plan you are on for all 80 lbs??????

I also have regained tons and tons of weight.....don't know if I could do this 1 day less 80 lbs worth......ughhh

You have such determination and willpower.......Congratulations again!!!!!
