Back On Track Together

TIMELY QUOTE

As I was reviewing the material I want to use in my first bariatric maintenance support group (I've
named it SUPPORT "R" US), I found this quote which made me smile:

"Accuse not nature.  She has done her part.  Do Thou but Thine"  by John Milton (1687) in Paradise Lost.

So, it's not our surgeries (whatever the procedure) this we should accuse, but it is us for not doing our part by using this marvelous tool we've been given.   How true this is

Everything you have said is so very true. I hear many post op people say that the surgery did not work for them. When I realized that my weight loss was not continuing to go the way as planned, I had to acknowledge that it was me who failed to stay the course ... not a failed surgery. I had to take responsibility for my actions before denial set in. I'm yet rejoicing about finding this forum and the information that I have gleened so far. Thank you for your post!

Hi Happy,

I love this quote.  Oh how very, very true it is.  This one is a keeper.  I have a list of quotes that I refer to often and this one is going to go on it.

I LOVE your support group name.  It is great!!

You're right we can do this together......actually we are!
