NEED HELP

I have finally found some exercises I think I can (and will because I can) do.  At 76 I don't seem to do too well with all those vigorous leaping, jumping and wiggling exercises - I just seem to stand there thoroughly bewidlered.  I really do know that you can teach an old dog (not that I'm ready to slink into the "old dog" category for at least 35 more years) new tricks, but I also know that motivating that old dog to LEARN those new tricks can sometimes be a daunting task. LOL

SO........here's where I need help - Can I play a DVD this isn't specifically for a Wii DVD player?  I would like my new exercises to appear on my TV and the Wii works thing is the only way I can do that?   C'mon you techies what's the word?

Thanks for your help techie angels

Ugh, I am NO technie at all.  I want to say that I don't think you can BUT not for sure.  My 13 year old son is at camp so I can't ask him until Sunday.  He'd know!!

Hey Happy,

YES, a Wii works as a normal DVD player. You need to use your Wiimote as the remote to navigate the DVD and you can find that right online at http://www.allcoolandnew.com/wiimote_to_control_windows_medi a_player_itunes_or.html

And I love having you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much - will go home and check it out.  I got the new Active game.  I need you for that too because I can't make heads or tails out of how to hold the remote and the nunchuck so here I am doing all the exercising, but getting no credit.  grrrr    I know it says hold them like the diagram but, for some reason, how they are holding them in the diagram isn't that clear to me.  Oh well, my body's getting the benefit even if my psyche isn't

Have a fun weekend

Well I don't own a Wii, but after some research I think I might have found what you need.

http://darkzero.co.uk/game-reviews/ea-sports-active-personal -trainer/

This is a 'tutorial' review of sorts with helpful pictures that should help you figure out how to hold your Wii motes, stand on the pad, etc.... It looks like you must hold the mote at exactly 180* to the floor for it to accurately record your movements.

Let me know if this helps you!

WOW!!!!  Thank you for this info - we love geeks :o)  I've been struggling without a DVD with a Wii sitting right there.  I could have been using it all the time.

Thanks again
