Hi everyone... I have not signed on in months.. hope everyone is doing well
Hi everyone.. I got to a point where i was becoming obsessed with all the forums and discussions. I had to step away for a bit ... and yes I've been very busy. I am now 10 credits from my bachelors degree... hopefully I'll have that by spring of 2010. I'm taking a fitness boot camp. it starts at 6 am and trust me when I say I am NOT a morning person. The class is 4 mornings a week. My goal (and I've met this goal every week) is to get there at least 3 of the 4 sessions. Oh and I'm taking tennis lessons... and our 20 year old instructer kicks our butts.. I'm probably the youngest there.. along with one friend..everyone else is over 50. My knees keep asking me what the heck I'm doing. Oh in the boot camp, he did a fit eval after 4 weeks and I improved my time for the mile by a full minute. Now I walk most of it (I absolutely hate to run) so I do a walk/jog and did the mile in 14 1/2 min. I was quite happy with that.
2 weeks ago I did the 5 day pouch test.. a person I work with who had surger a few years before me.. joined me in the 5 days. we were both very successful .. things we had re-cemented in our brains... do not drink with meals.. wait min of 30 min before and after eating. get your fluids in... also keeps you much fuller. mindful eating.. go for the nutrition not the convenience. sometimes it seems just so easy to go for what is convenient.
