I just had to start this today because for a change I have a loss. Down from 175 last week to 172 this morning. Still did not have the "control" I would like to but hopefully this will motivate me to keep going. I want to lose 27 more pounds. This morning I am trying to look at where I have come from. I am 155 pounds lighter than I was in 1999. Yes, I had a re-gain but I can lose it.
Am heading for the gym now. Still having trouble committing my food but I will get there again too. Thanks for being here folks... on a side note I have an appt for monitoring my depression on July 2nd.

Congrats!  The motivation that comes from a loss is great!  I am downfrom 177 to 173 today. I am on the f Day pouch test (day three).  Will be going to the gym soon.  Thanks for posting as this site really helps be.

I went from 199 to 192 and kept track of food for three day, today will make four.  That means I am doing well since if I wasn't, I wouldn't be able to keep track.

Good job everyone!

Hats off to those of you with a loss or even remaining the same. Something here is drastically wrong and my numbers are showing it.
2 Weeks ago I was 231.8
Last Week I was 234.4 (Up 2.6 lbs)
This Week 240.8 ( Up another 6.4 lbs!!!)

I'll see my bariatric surgeon again on 7/13th. My new food plan from my NUT sure isn't helping me at all!!!  I keep thinking move more  and eat less... and still staying within my 1200 calories per day ... I'm gaining!!! Spiraling out of control here...but staying honest... journaling and posting these horrific gains!!!  I'll never see my bariatric surgeons goal weight he set for me of 145 at this rate.

Try try again is the best I can do for now. I've got to get the lead weights out of my pockets and the concrete off the bottoms of my shoes :-). Hoping for better news next week.

I hope there is a simple explanation for this.... are you of the age to still have the "monthly" fluctuations, too much salt, or something awry with the surgery? I feel for you... just before I came to this board, I had gained about  6 pounds in a week and although I had not been eating well, I did not think it was worth that much. It came off in three days of pouch test and has stayed off but man I was scared about what was happening. Hang in there!

No simple explanations here it seems. I am 46 and it's not time for the "monthly" fluctuation here. I honestly think in my heart of hearts that there is something wrong with my surgery. The whole procedure for an RNY was done in less than an hour. I really wonder if it was done properly. My surgeon keeps telling me to eat less and move more. I wish I could find another surgeon to check my pouch. It can drive you nuts when the pounds don't come off and you try so hard with all the journaling.  I keep saying tomorrow will be better...but easier I know that isn't happening. Thanks for the support.

3 lb gain this week for me...but I knwo why.  I've been eating really badly, ok quantity but terrible quality as I wasn't prepared with the foods I needed, was too busy, so grabbed whatever was available.  My body felt terrible eating that way too.

So I've stocked the store cupboard for this week and am expecting to get rid of those 3lbs quickly - fingers crossed.
