Well, I am new here.  Glad that there is a place I can come to get back on track.  Bad thing is I don't have a scale to weigh myself as I see you all do.
Background on me.  I had been with obesityhelp.com since 2004 and I didn't have a computer for the last couple years so I got off track.  A lot of things have changed.  I had surgery 2/25/05 went from 375 to 238 but then a doctor putting me on certain meds and because of food I was eating I went back up to 315.  This is where I am now.  I want and desperately need help getting back down.  I am working on a web page and will have it soon so I can keep caught up and document my progress.
But I am hopeful and I don't blame anyone but myself and that one doctor.  Please help me.

Welcome Annie! Seems like our group is growing rapidly especially just recently. It is good we are not alone in this battle. Some days are easier than others. Today I am thinking success is a bunch of small positive choices that add up to our big goal. Hang in there,

Welcome, Annie,

You're here now; that's what's important.  You will find no judgment here--just understanding, support, suggestions, and--if you ask for it--a kick in the pants!  We're all here because we've somehow "lost it" and are struggling to get back to a better weight or are having trouble maintaining.  Some have re-gained just a little weight and need to fine-tune what they're doing, and some have re-gained a significant amount and need to completely overhaul their habits.

I'm in the latter group, and while I seem to have stopped gaining, I'm not losing either.  I'm doing the "one-step-forward, one-step-back" dance.  Not happy w/ myself.  But I come to this board every day and read what's working/not working for others, and sometimes it helps me.  (I take FULL responsibility for where I'm at.  I know exactly what I'm doing wrong or inconsistently.)

Keep coming here.  See what people are saying & doing.

Always,
Jo

Annie,
Welcome!  If you stay current reading and living Kathy and Cathys posts you will be on your way!  When I first started with the group if they said it Idid it...LOL!!
Start with the "basics" 1. Take an inventory of your foods at home and clear out those that are no good for you or are trigger food. 2. Stock up on some inexpensive easy to prepare high protein choices. Eggs are an excellent source and added with some deli turkey and cheese can make a protein powerful omlett! 3./ Water Water Water and now with so many flavor mix ins there is little excuse. 4. Take a walk...everyday!! and 5. Don't worry about the scale, if you are following basic BOTT principles you will see the success!
Good luck and Welcome

Welcome, Annie!

You have some great advice on here...and you will find a lot of wonderful people to support you and your decision to get back on track.  Stay with it, and you will get there!
