Back On Track Together
Greetings all

My name is Tammy and it's been 8 years (well this July will make 8) since I've had my surgery and since then, I have gained a total of 37lbs. I am currently 174 and my lowest weight was 137. While I know, i am no anywhere where I was years ago, my highest weight was 245, I am still not happy with the weight gain.
I recognize where I have gone wrong over the years and am SO ready to get back on track. Thanks to you all, I have gone back to the basics. I am determined to loss the weight because I realize I was at my happiest when I didn't have the extra 30lbs.
So, just to let you all know that I am serious, this is what I've had to eat today, please chime in if you think I am doing something wrong.
B - a couple spoons full of cottage cheese and 3 pieces of melon
s - string cheese
l - a chicken cutlet with rice and beans (went out to lunch w/some friends) (small portion)
s - string cheese
d - chicken cutlet and rice and beans (small portion) - the remainder of my lunch
s - sugar free pudding (yummy)
H20 - plenty, plenty, and plenty.
I really need to lose this weight and welcome any feedback and suggestions.
Also, I live in Bethlehem, PA if anyone is nearby and looking for a workout partner.
Welcome! It sounds like you are in the right frame of mind, which is one of the biggest obstacles we all face. Congrats!
It looks to me like you have done well -- the emphasis has to be just what you said, back to basics: Getting in all of your protein, your liquids, incorporating exercise. You are on your way!
Unfortunately, we are many hours apart distance wise, but feel free to make me your virtual work out buddy if you'd like. :)

Thanks for the encouraging words. Hey guess what, I just recently returned from living in Stafford, VA for 3 months. I was on assignment in DC. I miss the assignment but do NOT miss commuting from Stafford to DC everyone morning. oooooweeeee, I'm starting to twitch just thinking about the traffic - lol.
Again, thanks and I am really excited about getting back on track. While I'm a little disappointed in myself, I am excited to get things back and order and what better time than the summer.
who doesn't love getting compliments :o).
Hi Tammy,
Welcome! I know how you feel about the gain. It will be 3 yrs, next month, since my RNY. I went from 310 to 175. I'm now at 198 and I'm BOTT'ing. I don't check in as much as I should, since I work a full time and a part time job AND commute 80 miles round trip to do so.
My full time job is at night, 11p-7a, in a hospital and then three days a week, I go straight to a multi doctor clinic and put in about 4 hours there. On those days, I basically work, eat and sleep. I'm trying to become more active the rest of the days, but it's really hard. Fortunately, it's just me and hubby, and since he's a trucker, he and I don't have "regular" family time like most people. It makes for an interesting schedule of meals, housework, exercise and everything else!
I hadn't stepped on a scale in a few months, but noticed that I was becoming uncomfortable in my clothes. When you get uncomfortable in scrubs, you know that something's up, and it's usually the weight!
Anyway, good luck and again, WELCOME!!!
