Oh geez Cathy - you ARE well-planned/tought out!
I'm hoping to start the 5 day pouch test tomorrow - I hope I remember - don't laugh, guys, my memory is LOUSY anymore. I know everyone "suffers" from this to an extant - life has gotten so crazy, but I think it's also a combination of my age (just turned 56) and actually a small "side effect" of my surgery - but that's ok, it is STILL worth it. Fortunately I am "older" so it's not as drastic....
Anyway - tomorrow
Exercise:
Either elliptical of Jillian Michael's 30-day shred. I was for sure going to do the elliptical since I really haven't used it that much since I bought it (after selling my treadmill) but I messed up my knee this afternoon so I'll see.
FOOD:
Protein shakes, lentil soup, protein pudding, chicken soup. Will probably also make a black bean soup for Monday. Even thogh the 5DPT helps to shake the carb craving, it allows lentil and bean soups so it's not totally bereft of substantial eats.

That 30 day shred is awesome but painful. The first time I tried it my thighs were so sore from squats that it was painful to get in and out of a chair. If I had stuck with it think results would come quickly but I got it from library and it was due back too soon. Congrats on doing 5 dpt. I want to do it again but just not quite ready I don't think. Struggled with food this afternoon. I did some baking with Rhubarb and wisely took it immediately to work or it would have called my name all night. I enjoy baking so much but really shouldn't cuz I like to eat it too. Gonna try somethings with agave nectar as sweetener.
Yeah, I know - it's only a DVD and she STILL scares me! I did the elliptical and 30 minutes of a Kathy Smith weights tape - she's very good but a bit nuts on this one DVD I have. I've got to get back into the 30 day shred again, though - maybe next week I'll be up for it.
First day of the 5DPT went ok - my husband is doing it with me! After tomorrow, I'll be on "soft" proteins and it will be easier - these first two days are killers.

Deb you have the most interesting foods or I don't know what they are.... what's pb2 and whats all in your ricotta and mozzarella bake. I ordered some CLICK by the way. It sounds really good.
So far today I have had a couple spoons each of cottage cheese and yogurt and some melted cheddar cheese. Worked in the yard for about 1 1/2 hours and plan to do 25 minutes on the elliptical later. Thinking spring and more natural movement like lawn mowinhg etc. it helping me right now. The scale was still down to 172 this morning so I was happy. It used to help me to weigh everyday but it can also drive a person crazy. I miss the early days of surgery when it dropped a pound or two so easily.
Not sure about food the rest of the day. I am trying to listen to my body and yesterday it said grilled steak, salad and baked sweet potato for supper. It amazes me when I crave good things. Happy Sunday everyone!

Congrats on getting that scale moving in the right direction! This is how I make my bake:
4 ounces of ricotta
1 egg
1/2 c mozzarella cheese
2 T. parmesean cheese
2 T. parsley
salt and pepper
Mix everything together and put in a small baking dish. Bake uncovered til top is nicely brown (20 minutes). I use my own sauce to top.
Sometimes I use some leftover baked ham and bake. It really get a good flavor.
