Friday Weekly Weigh In

Hi All

how has your week been?  Mine has been frantic as usual - I was very stressed at the start of the week, but although the issues/work load is still there I'm dealing with it all better so am enjoying life again.  It's amazing how attitude can affect the whole body isn't it.

Anyway, here are my numbers for this week:

Last week:175
This week: 173
Mini goal:167

YAY...I'm really pleased.  I do miss those early days when it felt like it dropped off, even though I was a slow loser compared to others, but at this stage, 2lb is good for me and takes me closer to my mini goal.

Does anyone do the chain thing?  I have one chain for all the pounds I've lost and one for the pounds I still want to lose.  When I'm feeling fat or like I haven't lost weight, I look at the long chain of all the pounds I've already lost and feel better about my acheivement.

Have a great week, and remember (note to self as well!!), no matter what the cir****tances, you can ALWAYS feel good about yourself.  Be proud

hugs, Ruth

The scale here this week is noncompliant. I journaled all the food and exercise ...thinking the best...but nothing lost (however nothing gained). I maintained another week fighting off the carb monster rather well I thought. I kept under the six carbs per day that my surgeon suggested, as well as the 64 oz of water, 70-80 grams of protien and still no loss. I can only hope I'll see a loss sometime soon!.

WOW, I'm so sorry, keep trying. what do you eat that only has 6 carbs a day in it? I need those foods, heck yesterday with omelets, protein bars, protein shake etc.  I had gotten in 55 net carbs, NOT proud.

Carbs are calculated at net carbs ...divided by 15 grams to equal each serving... so my six servings are actually 90 net carbs. My surgeon allows 2 servings of carbs per meal so a net of 30grams of carbs per meal. You're doing better than I'll ever dream of doing .

Don't be discouraged - your body may be hanging on to the pounds for some reason.  It will catch up eventually and you will probably see a sudden drop when you are least expecting it.

Hang in there and I'll be watching next week to see the numbers drop.

Thanks Ruth,
Iv'e been awaiting a drop for months now but fight the five to seven pound yo-yo cycle of ups and downs in that range. A sudden drop would be SO EXCITING!!! I'll see what the week brings. Thanks for the encouragement :-).

I promised my dr's nurse I would not weigh for 6 weeks.  She told me I wasn't eating enough calories - imagine being told to eat more????? LOL   I was terrified I would gain and be big as a house again - but I haven't.  I'm keeping my promise not to weigh, but I can now wear my button-waist slacks so I know I have lost.    (The six weeks will be up June 1 - that's 17 days - but who's counting

YAY!!  That must be so encouraging for you.  You have done so well not to weigh yourself - I hope you are proud.  The best was to tell is by the fit of clothes isn't it.

Keep doing what you are doing - you are doing great - and as you say, only 17 days LOL
