My day 4 of the 5DPT...

What a revelation this morning...my main problem all this time is the drinking of water or other liquids before and after meals.  Fancy that after 2 1/2 yrs I find out that not drinking during my meal or waiting that 30 minutes before or after to drink is pure torture for me!!!  That's why I'm on here so early!!!  I'm looking for things to do that will keep me away from the drink...only 4 more minutes to go!!!

Today I get to have hard protein, actual meat...not the canned stuff like yesterday.  Dinner tonite will be chicken...my family loves it baked in cream of mushroom soup.  I leave the skin on it and when I eat it, I peel the skin and don't have any of the soup.  It's a win win dish for the family.   Yesterday I did walk about a mile...don't know for sure as I haven't taken the car out to see LOL and I will walk again today!  I also have to do all the housework today because I didn't do a thing yesterday other have my nails and toes done, grocery shop and read..  Was a nice day off since I also slept till 1 PM.

Ok...time to go fix myself a drink!!!

Debra,
Congrats on making it to Day 4!!!
I also have a hard time not drinking before/after meals.  I really have to put my drink out of sight.

Congrats, sounds like your doing great.  I just finished the five day pouch test yesterday, and that was actually a major revelation of mine too. the other thing I discovered was that while I was drinking small amounts with my meals, I wasn't drinking enough in between. I really discovered that this helps. I started drinking as much as I could during the times between meals (of course stopping 30 minutes before and after).  It really did help with not eating at meals, and curbed between meal snacking too.

Congrats!!

I myself am finding it very hard NOT to drink with meals. Before weight loss surgery, I rarely drank in between meals, just with meals, and now being 3 1/2 yrs out, I'm TRYing it. One thing I find so hard is I NEVER drank between meals and that is what is a challenge for me now.  Best of luck on your continued success.
