Back On Track Together
I am So Proud of Myself....Day 1 & Day 2 for 5DPT
I started the 5DPT yesterday...I always make plans to do so, but after trying on outfits that I had purchased last year and found them just a little snugg, I knew it was time.
I work the late evening into the morning shift (5p-1:30a) and when I come in it takes me a while to whine down. On my way in yesterday morning I stopped at the market and purchased a piece of ham steak (always keep split peas on hand) and proceeded to fix a pot of Ham & Split Pea soup from the 5DPT recipe. When the soup was done I went to bed at about 3:30a. At 7am, I received a call from a friend wo lives in New York, said they didn't have anything to do so they were driving down to spend the day with me. Why today..I thought, I just started my 5DPT. Well, when my friend arrived, I proceeded to fix a real southern style breakfast of Smothered Steak w/ onions, eggs, grits with gravy and biscuits. I know not a real healthy choice, but that's what he wanted. I had no problem in preparing the meal, and not one time did I stumble or give in too taste or sample anything that I had cooked; so while he ate my southern style breakfast...I had a Chocolate Protein Shake later followed by a cup of coffee and then enjoyed some of my Ham & Split Pea Soup.
Starting Day 2 today....not expecting any company!

You GO GIRL! That's amazing. Preparing breakfast with no nibbling or sampling, and sticking to your program. Congratulations on your commitment to doing what you've set out to do.
All the best on Day 2.
