Hey Everyone,

Have you seen the sun?  Where the heck did it go?  I know April showers bring May flowers but come on.....

Ok, yesterday we talked about ways to find out your body fat comp.  Next start taking stock of your body, your fitness level.  If you have done nothing but the couch to fridge shuffle for years then you are not going to start out running a marathon.  But you can start by walking around the house, then the block and so on and so forth.

Age is not a factor    I hear so many say but I am to old    It's never to late and don't you tell yourself otherwise ....

Throw our the scale    I know you are saying are you nuts   We should judge how we feel and look not just a number on the scale

Cardio is awesome but don't forget the weights    Weights help with with your overall health, endurance, flexabiltiy, increases  your heart and lung health.  Increases your muscle mass (women do not bulk up) and therefore burn more calories  Where's my free weights?

So BOTTs, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  Come on in and share and be accountable for your exercise  I

I hit the gym this morning and did some arm work and then 30 mins on the treadmill...

Take care,
Kathy

I hit the gym with a totally new circuit training routine last night.  I'm a little sore but motivated by the change.  Eleven different exercises in 18 minute circuits.  I made it through two circuits along with 15 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes on the treadmill.  I'm striving to do circuit training three times a week and pure cardio twice a week.

Keep it movin'!

Big Ed

No weights today, I am sore from the last few days. So just some quality time on the treadmill after work.

Giving your body time to repair and rest is just as important as your workout!    Enjoy the time off and see you back here soon

Take care,
Kathy

At 40 I am in the best shape of my adult life!  My surgery was 4 years ago and I did lose alot of weight but it hasn't been until the last 6 months that I really feel that I have gotten my groove on!!!

No gym for me today as it was my day off (from work and gym) but eating/portions are down because of that.  I will be back at the gym tomorrow at lunch to do both cardio and weights with our trainer....

I delivered 6 weeks early a 5lb 15oz lil boy:)  After spending 2 months on bed rest in the hospital and Mason spending 11 days in the NICU, we're both home and doing great!  Mason is getting bigger and gaining weight like he should.  Now it's my turn to lose this weight!  It's tough to get back on the band wagon...I CAN do this!
