Back On Track Together
New To This Board - Need Advice to Get Back on Track
Just found this board....I'm so frustrated with my weight gain. I'm about 2.5 years out, have kept the majority of the weight off for about 18 months...my lowest weight was 127 and my goal was to have a normal BMI (138lbs)...well I'm up to 141+ and now I'm overweight again...clothes are tight (I have a huge wardrobe)and I don't like the way I feel. No one can notice the weight gain but me (abdominal fat)...I exercise 5x a week but I am an afternoon/evening eater, snacker, nosher, etc...and the cravings are rampant. I know what I'm doing wrong, I know what to do to get BOT...but I have no desire to do it. Since we all seem to be in the same boat here, I was hoping to get some advice and help before my weight balloons back up! I'd love to be 135 again, any one have any suggestions???????????????????????????????????
I drink my water and eat small portions and eat every 2-3 hours.

Hi Sheri.
You've come to the right place...check out the Back On Track Guidelines and Information, that you should give you a pretty good start. Right now I'm having the same issues with snacking and when I pulled out my summer wardrobe I too found things a little tight. I've been crying all afternoon, discussed with myself, but I know what the problem is so now only I can fix it. We can do this before we have to start buying larger sizes again. I think I have a suggestion. You're bored with your routines! All that exercise, all the diet restrictions, timed and planned meals.... your brain is just sick of it, making your motivation sink into a sticky puddle.
Try switching something out, or around. If you're an afternoon/evening nosher, why not find an activity you can do during those problem hours? Maybe hold off on your gym time and do it then? Or take your dog (if you have one) for a walk with a protein shake, that way you're full when you get back. Add something new into your diet. Do you eat fish alot? Try a new one or a new method of cooking it. Do you like sweets? Check out theworldaccordingtoeggface.com, she has some great snacky-type foods that are more WLS friendly. (Her 5 min chocolate cake is to DIE for, btw. Making some tonight)
Just a thought. Hope something gives for you soon!
