Hi BOTTers,

I just love Spring!  My favorite seasons are Spring and Fall - the transitional seasons.  I was sitting on our back porch enjoying the budding trees and flowers in our back yard.  I think one of the reasons I love these seasons is what they resemble to me.  Spring represents new beginnings.  There is growth, regeneration, nature blooming in color and beauty.  Fall represents a transition in the brilliant colors of trees changing colors and a more mature change in nature.

These meanings are reflective of our journey as wls patients and back on track.  It is hard to put into words but I hope all of you understand where I'm going.  Spring and a new beginning shows us that we can always start fresh.  It doesn't have to be on a Monday, January 1st or even the next day.  We can start fresh with our next meal.  We can always give ourselves a new start.  We can grow into our own special, personal beauty.

Fall and its crisp temperatures and beautiful burst of fall colors also represent to me that we have our own beautiful burst that are inside us.

As I read this, I don't know if it makes sense.  It is hard to articulate into words the feeling and exact meaning the transitional seasons mean to me and how they reflect the wls journey for me.  Anyway, I hope you understand and forgive me if I sound in La La Land (LOL).

Here's my check in:

FOOD:

B - Scrambled eggs and two Morningstar Soy Sausage links
S - String cheese
L - Chicken salad (chicken, lite mayo, tablespoon relish)

I also understand what you are saying.  Spring can also be compared to the letting go of winter and the shedding of all the "old baggage" ...the things that burdened  us down and kept us feeling weighed down either spiritually, emotionally, or physically. and then starting anew!

Here's my check-in:

Cardio:  2 Miles Walk Away the Pounds DVD with stretchie band

Food:

B- Protein bar

S- Decaffeinated protein coffee

L- Protein bar

D- (My daughter's friend is cooking dinner and I think he is going to prepare a huge meal....I will try my best to stay BOTT.  I am planning to eat a little lighter so that I can stay within my allotted calories or at least very close to it for the day.)

Have a great day!

Loving me...every day...for the rest of my life!
