Back On Track Together
Week 1 back on track successfully completed
HI,
I never really introduced myself so here goes. I had my surgery in June of 2006. I very quickly dropped 115 lbs and got down to 180. Since then the weight has crept back up slowly but surely. I can't blame anyone but me, I started eating sugar again and we all know where that leads ( a nasty 25lb weight gain) ! Anywho, I found this group, lurked a while and got serious. Today marks the end of my first real successful week back on track. I went to the gym (got up early to go, stopped making excuses) and no sugar. I feel so much better, and the great side benefit I lost 4.5lbs Something seems to have clicked and hopefully with everyone's support I can keep it up! I have 20lbs to lose to get where I want to be.....
Thanks for the inspiration!
Hugs

Hi Tracy,
A great big BOTT welcome to you. I'm so glad you are posting and joining us on our Discussion Board.
Congratulations on your 4.5 weight loss. You can keep it up and you will! It is awesome that you had your first week of being back on track. 20 pounds is doable. You caught the weight regain and have taken control.
I find that sugar is a huge problem for me too. Eating a little bit seems to turn on the switch for grazing and BAM, weight regain occurs.
I hope you'll post often and hang out with all of us as we BOTT with you too.

Thank you all so much! I now realize that it is a very slippery slope and to be very honest I feel crappy when I go down it, both emotionally and physically. I have come to realize that one bite is not enough for me so I cant even go there. If I do then I find myself eating like a sugar junkie, not even enjoying it just trying to make myself feel better!
I know that the surgery was life changing.,..just realizing that although my physical self changed quickly its taking my mind a bit longer to catch up!
I will be here and am looking forward to getting to know you all!
