Hi BOTTers,

I am writing this on Friday night because I'm hoping to sleep in a little bit if possible.

I've had a weird day.  I wear contacts and started wearing them not that long ago so I'm not a veteran.  Today, for some reason, they really bothered me, especially my left eye.  I finally gave in this afternoon and tried to take them out.  Ha.  The one in my right eye came out after a few tries.  The one in my left eye will NOT come out.  I've tried everything.  My eyes are really dry.  They've never been this dry before.  I've used drops, taken a hot shower hoping the steam would moisten my eyes but no luck so far.  I've tried so many times that my eyes look like a road map with red streets running into each other.  My eyes are sore so I'm hoping by sleeping as much as possible they will calm down.

Here's my check-in for tomorrow:

CARDIO:  Take a walk in the morning and/or evening.

FOOD:

B - 2 scrambled eggs with vegetables
S - String cheese
L - Turkey and White Cheddar Kruncheez
S - Cinnamon Toast Pretzels
D - Fish and steamed vegetables
S - Power Crunch bar

Have a super sensational Saturday as all of us BOTT.

Cathy

Hi Cathy!

When I used to have problems with my contacts, it was due to allergies.  Are you in one of the areas that is hard hit with pollen this season?   It actually got so bad for me, that when spring hit, I had to go back to glasses - so eventually, I just gave up all together.

Hang in there!  Hope it works out for you.

Here's my check in for today:

Cardio:  1 mile walk on the treadmill at the gym.
Other:  Made appointment with a trainer on Friday to figure out the weight machines and design a beginner's program and planting veggies in the garden.

Food Plan :  (Day 1 of 5dpt)
B - Soy Milk and Whey Protein Shake (Jay Robb)
S - Small Orange
L - Soy Milk and Whey Protein Shake (Jay Robb)
S - 1/2 Apple.
D - 1 C Southwestern Chicken Veggie Soup.
S - 1/2 High Protein Pudding
  Day by Day.

Yea, I actually thought of that last night.  It was so bad that my husband had to hold my eye open and my son (that wears contacts) had to get it out for me.  I had tried so many times that my eye was so sore.

A couple of weeks ago I had a bad allergy aqttack so I started taking Claritin.  I've been taking it and I think it finally caught up with me.  My eyes were like the Sahara Desert.  I stopped taking the Claritin today and will wear glasses for a couple of days to see if that is it.  I bet you're exactly right and that is what it is.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me.  It helps to validate what I was wondering.

Thanks again, Cathy
