Craving carbs and sweetness... any suggestions???
I use a packet of SF carnation instant bfast drink mix (chocolate flavor) and add 3 tsp of either SF instant cocoa OR SF/decaf instant flavored coffee (International stuff). Use half water, half milk (I use 1%). It really tames my chocolate/sweet need; I checked with my NUT on Wednesday, and she said it's fine, especially since the milk and bfast drink have protein.
This sounds really good. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to try this. I use the Davinci coffee syrups and love the sf chocolate one...but have never used it in SF Carnation instant breakfast drinks...but you can betcha I'm gonna try it. Thanks for sparking a new idea with thoughts of the international flavorings.
You've had some great suggestions to your thread. I'll add a couple of mine.
I've recently tried the new Bariatric Advantage chocolate calcium chews (citrate) and they are great. I've used them as my treat.
I also will eat a piece of sugar free candy.
My newest favorite though are the B.A.l chocolate calcium chews. For now, they're working for me!

Hi I am eactly the same way. Especially around chocolate. I can get into so much trouble with the stuff. Honestly I can't be trusted around any sweetes even the SF stuff so I try to just not eat it. To help my sweet tooth I will chew on SF gum. Especaill after dinner as I also crave someting sweet then. Another thing I do is drink diffrent flavored teas, SF hot cocoa, and SF caffiene free moch drinks, and one of my favorites Alpine SF spiced Apple cider drink mix. I also add Torrini SF syrups to some of these to add a little extra flavour. Finally while I don't eat sweets (even SF ones) on a daily basis. I do have one "Cheat" day where I allow myself a couple of treats-always bought and eaten away from the house. That way im not tempted tp bring an entire bag of cookies home and wolf them down.
Thanks for validating that I'm not alone with my craving of sweets. I gave in and had a dish of maple walnut icecream over the weekend. I was out to dinner and it just sounded so yummy... and no problems with my tummy...just mental guilt trip. I journaled my indulgence and enjoyed every bite of my one scoop treat. I guess all of us do need a "cheat" day.
